Northcal Driving School is in my opinion, one of the top driving schools in Northern California. My instructor Harman was very calm and supportive and taught me everything from scratch. Because of Harman I was able to pass my Driving Test on my first try. Definitely recommend Northcal Driving School to anyone and everyone of every age trying to learn and pass their driving test.
My first driving experience was stress-free, thanks to my instructor, Jay. He was very patience and calm. His ability to create a relaxed learning environment boosted my confidence on the road.

One of the recent incidents,I had issue during one of my driving session and was totally upset. When I approached their management and their front desk with my issue, they immediately jumped in to resolve the issue and help me further. Post that incident, I had a fantastic driving lesson which helped me to pass my behind the wheels. I am very much grateful to JP sir, his tricks and tips on driving are awesome and they will remain as my learnings throughout. I do recommend this driving school for others, in case you get into any genuine concern/issues, management will be there with you. Adding more, I could see that they run this firm as a family business with loads of passion. Once again, thank you JP sir and team who supported me all along!
The instructors were competent, polite and punctual always. Their knoedge on cracking the test was phenomenal. Special thanks to instructor JP and Sahab for pro tips that helped me pass the test with confidence. I would highly recommend learners of any experience.

Bay Hill is the best driving school in the Bay Area. ♥️🌁 I know that’s saying a lot, but truth be told, I had such a great experience here. I’m a freshly 20 year old female without any experience behind the wheel, and I mean any!! Unfortunately, my nerves got the best of me during my first lesson and I freaked out. I caused myself and my instructor some stress, and sadly I was unmotivated to drive for a while. Before I left a negative review, I contacted Bay Hill’s through email. They made things right and scheduled my second appointment with JP, and he was fantastic! I went from shaking like a leaf behind the wheel to having genuine confidence in 2 hours— No exaggeration! We drove around and shared a heartfelt conversation, in which he also shared some tips on lane switching and turns. Halfway through our session, we stopped for water and stretches, so I knew my comfortability was respected. The negative reviews on this business are so upsetting. This is an excellent Asian-owned, woman-owned small business with so much diversity on their staff. If your first lesson goes awry, contact them!!! They are bound to have someone you are comfortable with. This is an honest review! I could not recommend Bay Hill Driving School enough! ☺️❤️

They explained every rule clearly and made sure I felt confident behind the wheel. The lessons were well-structured, and I was able to improve with each session. The driving instructors are very nice and great teachers. I had Gurmeet for 2 of my lessons and she was great! The only issue is that the system is very slow and the main person who I would schedule my lessons with replies very slow or doesn’t reply at all so I would have to send a couple messages before I got a response.
Bhavesh is a fantastic driving instructor! He's got great patience and is a total pro. He breaks down all the rules and what you need to watch out for so clearly, and he's great at drilling in good driving habits. I would highly recommend him for those in preparation for a DMV driving test.
My Husband passed his driving test today,and its all thanks to his amazing instructor, GURMEET. He has never driven a car before but Gurmeet built his confidence with her patience from the basics and most importantly the rules and regulations for driving safely.I also took my driving lessons from Gurmeet previously and am confident and at ease while driving.I would highly recommend her to anyone who wants to learn driving and build confidence behind the wheel. We,re really thankful to her perfessional guidance!!!

Hands down the fastest, simplest and most convenient traffic school I have ever done! Saved me a lot of time. Very thankful for Bay hill Traffic school! Most Traffic schools take 3-4 hours and quizzes are complicated. I completed this course in a little under an hour. Highly recommend.

I had Raymond as my instructor and passed on the first try! He was super patient, nice and explains everything in so much detail to make sure I understand the how and why behind each maneuver. He gives a lot of tips on not only how to pass the test but also be a safe and good driver. We practiced all of the routes in Redwood City multiple times just to make sure that I’m more than well prepared. He also likes drawing diagrams to explain things in the beginning to help me understand where to look when turning and where to look when parking/ pulling to the curb which was very helpful as well. He’s also always on time as well as flexible with his schedule to fit mine. Highly recommend him and the driving school.
Based on all the negative reviews online, I was rather nervous for my first lesson. I have to admit that to individuals who aren't proficient in Mandarin will definitely have a hard time understanding instructors. However, if you are bilingual, then there's not much to worry about. My teacher, Frank, was an enthusiastic older man who taught quite well and helped me get the hang of driving much faster than I expected. I would highly recommend to anyone who is decent at speaking and understanding Chinese.

Ken Wong was my instructor all along, and he is great. He is patient and kind. He really emphasized his teaching on defensive driving and how to drive safely. He also taught me a lot of tips and tricks on how to maneuver the car effortlessly. I would highly recommend this school (and Ken) to everyone who is looking for driving classes. The only downside is that Ken has a strong Cantonese accent, so if you are a Mandarin or English only speaker, it takes some getting used to.
Both my husband and I used success driving school to get our licenses in the first attempt. I worked with Matthew and Keith, and I felt that they were very good teachers. They worked with me for my goals, and they were patient with me as I'm a nervous driver. Keith is very experienced and knowledgeable, and he was able to explain concepts quite well .

I recently had my behind-the-wheel test and booked a lesson with Omar beforehand. I'm so glad I did! Omar was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, not only providing me with valuable driving tips and feedback but also assisting me with the appointment documents. During the hour-long lesson, Omar was patient and supportive, helping me to feel more confident and comfortable behind the wheel. The teacher for traffic school was not professional. She was short with the students, in addition to having an attitude problem. She was rude and unfriendly. However, she was knowledgeable and knew her stuff. I did learn something in the 8 hours and passed my test 100% .
Driving School?? More like HIT & RUN School!!!!! Today at 5:55 pm this car hit my car and drove away. They did not step out to talk to me when I, myself, got out of my car. When I stepped out they just drove away. I was behind them on Hansen Ave where it meets Blacow Rd. in Fremont. They made a stop and pulled forward to make a left turn. When they pulled forward into traffic and decided to back up. I was stopped at the stop sign and they back right into me. I could not back up to give them space because there were two cars behind. My car's license plate now has dents in it. Thankfully there was very minimal damage and no injuries. However, they did not step out to talk to me and discuss what had happened. There was a man in the passenger seat and someone in the driver seat who had a man bun. I could not tell if it was a lady or man because the driver had a mask on. I followed them and flashed my head lights at them, honked at them to pull over, and signaled with my hand to pull over. However, they did not do it. The fact that they are a driving school they should know better. Since they decided to run away I decided to call 911 and report this incident to them. Officer Shanon talked to me and was really helpful. I am thinking if I should or should not write a letter to DMV to report that this driving school's car was involved in hit and run. It would have really pleasant if they pulled over and just talked. There is minimal damage and no injuries. Look at the picture attached for car's license plate. Thanks for the unpleasant experience!!!! Every sensible person knows that if your driver and passenger wanted to report it. They wouldn’t have done hit and run. They would have stepped out like I did and talk to me.
I don’t know about all instructors working in this Driving School. However, I can guarantee you the person teaching in Palo Alto, Redwood City Mountain View area is really unprofessional. She supposed to took my son to DMV and show and practice necessary route and checklist. she didn’t do any of that . Also she didn’t take time to talk to us after they’re done. She just takeoff. When I call the school they send me the checklist, I can find that online. I pay the money for teach my son professionally, but it was a disappointment.Parents please Please don’t waste your money in this place. Find someone one
