They also have very clear communication, as they do not hesitate to call for scheduling or reminders. Stephanie was my driving instructor and she is extremely professional and pushed me to do my best every time. She corrects you on the spot and is super informative. I AM SO GLAD I FOUND SAN JUAN DRIVING SCHOOL. I passed my driving test with them because they gave me the confidence and skills that I needed to succeed. I took many lessons at a previous driving school but failed twice. Once I came to San Juan Driving School I only took 4 lessons and I passed in my first try here! Absolutely tremendous service and they do everything to make sure you pass! 100 percent recommend!

Do not book classes with them was on the phone trying to understand how the classes work and a women was on the phone screaming because I asked a simple yes or no question I only needed one class before I take my road test and the customer service was horrible they are rude and disrespectful and hang up they phone the professionalism is unacceptable!!!

My brother took his driving lessons here four years ago and highly recommended the school to me and I’m so glad he did. This is truly the best driving school. I had previously taken lessons elsewhere and failed the road test twice. But after coming here, I passed on my first try! The instructors are excellent at explaining everything clearly. They correct you with a balance of firmness and gentility. From my very first lesson, I felt confident behind the wheel. When I started, I couldn’t park at all, but within a week, I learned how to do it. They also emphasized the importance of checking my blind spot and now it’s second nature to me. Thank you.

If i can give 0 stars i would. At this point i believe all reviews that are 5+ has been convinced by owner to give. Horrible experience. Payed for car + dmv appointment & 5 hr class in February to only get a driving test in April. They also don’t work with the Bronx said by the same AIDA CRUEL that will be spoken about in the rest of this review. First off, if you have a car that fits the dmv requirements (could be a family members) to drive during your test. You might as well set the appointment on the dmv website for free. All workers are Spanish and it seems like they treat their Spanish clients professionally but from a person like me who understands Spanish but doesn’t speak it they speak to their Spanish clients sarcastically anyways. Set my driving appointment up for 04/07 @12pm per dmv confirmation. Lady at the desk told me to get there anytime before 12pm. I arrived promptly @11:25am and I communicated that i was told that the lady told me i can arrive anytime before 12pm. Lady (AIDA) then called me a liar and told me that the guy already left. I communicated and said alright so i can take a cab and meet them with a ETA being 20 mins still before 12pm and the lady didn’t answer that i could do that but just said I won’t be seen at 12pm regardless. The only solution given was for a refund. I was also told I was getting calls since Friday to then find out they had already cancelled my DMV appointment per my phone call with DMV who confirmed my appointment had already been cancelled which is why I couldn’t just uber myself to the testing site. She decided to put me to the side with time still being able to used to make my way to New Rochelle just for a refund, this being previously to finding out my appointment was just cancelled. Time went by and I couldn’t attend my test. I then was estimated a time of 1pm to speak to a manger who also became obnoxious over AIDA taking my receipt and being told they couldn’t give me a receipt because it was refunded. Idk what retail or just any store that can’t provide a receipt of what has been paid or refunded. Manager decided to say I had nothing better to do with my life for asking for a receipt that they could not provide for absolute no reason. This whole place is ridiculous and not organized. From the looks of it, it’s family owned and they’ll be in the back of the glass going back and forth as normal family would in-front of clients as if it’s not supposed to be a professional store front. To summarize, don’t invest your money here. They would play in your face as if they weren’t paid at all for a service.

This is the best school in the south Bronx. The staff is very professional and courteous. They helped get my license. I am very grateful thanks God and the school. I highly recommend 💯%

Took an assessment and road test with the Sgt. He was a terrific teacher and helped me brush up on my driving skills. Very good experience and would highly recommend.

I was an international driver preparing for my NY road test. The 1st SGT was incredibly knowledgeable and straightforward—no sugarcoating, just clear insights and techniques that actually improved my driving. He explained exactly what to expect on the test and gave me valuable pointers to refine my skills. If you want honest, effective instruction from someone who knows the road test inside and out, this is the place to go.

As an International Driver who is having to take the NY road test after many years of driving in the UK and Asia I found the 5 lesson package invaluable. George is an excellent instructor who guided me through the nuances of driving in NY, plus pointing out the (many) habits I had developed over the years. The schedule was created with my own working hours in mind and the test was scheduled early in the morning - so I could still get back to work if I needed to. I passed first time thanks to George and will definitely be recommending him to other International Drivers and new learners - like my son!

George is a great driving instructor! I had learnt how to drive internationally but hadn't driven in a while so ended up taking the 5 class course with George to refresh. He was extremely helpful going overall the major points of the test and I was able to pass on my first try! Would highly recommend the academy to anyone looking to get their license in New York

George is a really great and fun instructor. Throughout our lessons, he’s always tried to make driving seem easy and straightforward. He also teaches you exactly what to expect during the test and makes every lesson count. Just passed my driving test today after taking 10 lessons with him!

Awesome place to learn! Lissy and Iralda went above and beyond to fit my schedule, and all the instructors helped me learn from scratch and build confidence, teaching all the tricks on how to navigate the streets of nyc to help me pass the test. Highly recommend it!

I had a great experience with this driving school. I came in with no prior driving experience and took the 5-class package. The instructors were excellent; patient, knowledgeable, and focused on making sure I was fully prepared for the road test. I passed on my first attempt! They also provided transportation to and from the road test location, which made things so much easier. The office staff were professional and organized, the whole process was smooth, quick, and efficient. I would 100% recommend this school to anyone looking to learn how to drive and pass the test with confidence.

I’ve been attending Agile Driving school for the past 3 months. I’ve been taught by 4 different teachers. All of the teachers are nice and professional. I really like the school the response time is always fast. Everyone there is nice. I finally passed my road test today and the school sent me a congratulations text message! 10/10 recommend

After months of driving, I finally passed my road test. All I want to say is that I want to thank all of the instructors. Thank you for teaching me how to turn, do three-point turns, parallel park, etc. And whoever is reading this: never give up, no matter how many times you've failed on that road test.

I passed my road test thanks to Joseph's patience and straightforward guidance at Drive Rite. Customer support was helpful and responsive. Pricing is steep, especially for younger drivers. It may be worth considering family or friends for practice unless you prefer an insured company. I worked with three instructors. Unfortunately, this is where the problems began. I wanted an instructor with strong speaking skills. As a person of color, this is a tricky topic to navigate. However, I care deeply about driving disciplines as I desire to drive safely and play a role in protecting others on the road as well. The last thing I need is to receive instruction from someone I have trouble understanding. Safety takes priority here. An onsite staff member explained that I had a variety of instructors to choose from. He also mentioned that they had one instructor, Kalich, who was good but was soft-spoken. After this conversation, I decided to move forward and purchase a package. When the time came for me to schedule lessons, the only person available was Kalich. I decided to give him a chance. During our lesson, I quickly realized he was not the man for the job. I had no issues with his knowledge but prefer a more passionate and enthusiastic learning environment. Then I met Sam. He was excellent. He was emphatic and clear. I decided that Sam was the guy. Unfortunately, I was never able to book Sam again. I could not book him as he was on leave once, and then I was told he was no longer with the company. Because of that, I began scheduling sessions with Joseph. Joseph was laid-back, but his instructions were confident and clear, and he was good company. He was forthright about areas where I could improve. Joseph ultimately led me to success. Joseph advised scheduling lessons close to the test to stay sharp. Unfortunately, Joseph was unavailable for the final two weeks before the road test. The only person available was Kalich, a day before the road test. Kalich was a no-show the day before the road test. When the scheduled time for my lesson came and went, I called DRA, and the rep told me Kalich was supposed to be there. He told me he'd reach out to him and call me back with an update. However, during the conversation, he was already insinuating that Kalich might not make it. After a while, I called back because I hadn't heard back from anyone. The rep told me that Kalich was not responding to texts, that he had recently submitted his resignation, and that maybe that had something to do with it. His absence hurt my preparation. The rep promised a $60 refund, but I never got confirmation. On the day of the test, Kalich was responsible for driving us to the test site. Before getting there, I decided to let it go. He didn't apologize or explain. He waited until the other students and I crammed into the car and asked me in front of them, "You had a lesson yesterday; what happened?". I responded, "You didn't show up," he chuckled and replied, "Something must have been wrong with your address." How could something be wrong with my address when he gave me one of my first lessons at that very address? If they had the wrong address on file, how could Sam and Joseph find me at my address each time? Honestly, I grew to look down upon Kalich and his lack of accountability. He's unreliable. Had he found himself at the wrong address, why didn't he call me like Joseph would when he was downstairs? I overheard he quit to pursue being a pilot, but I fear any establishment that would allow him to preside over the lives of passengers on a plane. I'm saddened that he quit because the opportunity for him to have been fired is now lost. DRA gets three stars for good support and Joseph’s five-star work. Kalich is why this rating had to sit somewhere in the middle. It is fair, and I've heard enough excuses from Kalich himself. I'm really not interested in a response. I trust DRA will see and correct the problem, and I'll be looking for my refund for the one lesson.

Booked a driving package including safety course and car for the test. Excellent value for money and great customer service all the way along. Highly recommend !

Through PINCC program I was able to get 5 free drive classes and 5hr. Pre-license course @ 43. This is how I meet Sarah, I booked 2 lessons just so she could get me comfortable behind the wheel. It was worth it, we spoke on getting a feel of the car first. She took me to a parking lot and I worked on my u-turn. Then open road, expressing the regulations and rule of NYC roads. There was so much info but pretty much what is cover by you permit. The opportunity was to feel the petals under the steering wheels, signaling and above all mirrors. I enjoy my experience and booked another one next week. Realistically 5 classes is not enough to become a defensive driver, but it a good start. Thank you Sarah and PINCC, I'm looking forward to my next lesson. Blessings

AMAZING INSTRUCTOR. Darbbin is the best instructor I've had and I've tried different schools. He doesn't constantly step on the brake while you're trying to learn, he lets you make your mistakes first and then corrects you. I took 6 lessons with him and passed my road test first try.

Rally is absolutely fantastic I can’t recommend it enough. Darbbin is an incredible instructor aside from teaching you how to drive he encourages you to stay with it and understand that you will only get so far if you’re not confident in yourself. He helped me build my confidence and fixed all the things I needed to work on. I cannot thank him and Rally enough, if you want your license go to Rally.

Ruki Driving School is truly amazing the BEST school in the Bronx. I needed to get my license in a couple weeks for a new job and the instructors were able to teach in less than a month!! I passed my road test on the first try. TJ was my instructor, and he is absolutely AMAZING. He is really patient, encouraging and really chill. I would highly recommend him as your instructor and the school overall :)

I had a great experience with Ruki Auto Driving School! The office was very good about setting up my driving lessons and my road test around my work schedule within my desired timeframe, and the staff answered all of my questions thoroughly. My instructor was Mr. Frank, who was really patient and knowledgeable, and I passed my road test thanks to him! I found Ruki Auto Driving School after a bad experience at a different driving school in the city, and I’m so glad I did! I’d recommend Ruki Auto Driving School (and Mr. Frank specifically) to anyone!

I purchased a couple of packages from Ruki Driving School and passed my road test on the first try. I had absolutely no driving experience before going to Ruki. Ruki worked with me to schedule the lessons around my work schedule. My instructors were TJ and Tim. They were both very knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly instructors. TJ specifically went above and beyond to make sure he was available the days leading up to my road test so I could feel more secure. I also have to say that Ronnell, the person that drove me to the road test, was very kind and gave helpful tips. I will definitely be going back to Ruki to get highway driving lessons so I can begin driving more now that I have my license!

Great experience with Ruki Auto Driving School. All of the instructors are kind and understanding and gave me great guidance. I always felt comfortable. And all of my lessons were done on a timely basis. By the time of the road test, I was fully prepared for all situations that I could encounter, which made the road test very easy. I had been putting off learning how to drive for many years due to extreme nerves and fear behind the wheel. I discovered this driving school through Google, where I found excellent reviews, so I decided to give it a try. I successfully passed my road test thanks to their training. Initially, I took lessons with Ruth, who was kind and patient. She consistently provided me with valuable feedback and encouragement. When Ruth went on vacation, I continued my lessons with Adolfo. He made parallel parking easy for me! He not only taught me the techniques but also helped me turn my weaknesses into strengths. The staff members—Chris, Kimberly, and Janneth—were all very friendly, supportive, and always in a good mood. I had a great experience, and I hope this review encourages others to enroll in this driving school.

A truly excellent experience. They provided wonderful instruction from the beginnings of driving to more advanced driving. My instructor Roberto and he was extremely kind and helpful when I was still learning the mechanics of driving the car. I took my exam with them, even though I had to take it twice they worked with me every step of the way. If you need to learn to drive this is one of the best schools to go too.

I found this driving school after several failed road test exams. I had a lot of anxiety around driving and after some research, found Ms Everlina. She was so organized in coordinating the lessons and was never late! She took the time to explain every rule, technique and how to react in various situations. While strict and straightforward, she was also encouraging and kind. I don’t think I could have passed my road test without her and I’m going to miss our time together. She’s truly an one size fits all instructor and I would recommend her to anyone!

Without Everlina’s help and encouragement, I might not have passed the test. After failing the first, she reminded me that I need more exercise and provided me targeted training. She is such a professional and strict teacher that not only helps me successfully pass the test but at the same time impresses me with her hardworking and positive attitude towards life.

This review, pertains solely to Everlina, my instructor, and not to the school on a whole. I was initially nervous to learn to drive in the city, as I am an avid biker and have grown to be extremely weary of cars. Everlina was extremely patient with me, and would talk me through my first few lessons until I was able to handle more challenging situations on my own. She was extremely accommodating of my learning style, and would ask me for feedback on struggled with so she could better help me master them. I also loved that Everlina was very personable, and was able to make a two-hour lesson that might have otherwise been quite stressful feel much shorter and enjoyable. Ultimately, I passed my road test on the first try, which I had doubted would be possible when I began my lessons. I would highly recommend Everlina as a driving instructor!

So far I'm pleased with staff at drive right dean st branch. Receptionist is very helpful n hospitable. She has a welcoming n friendly attitude and has been so helpful. Both driving instructors that I had were very patient, professional and gave u that feeling positivity to want to learn and pass road test when time should come. Just wish road test weren't so far away. Nt acceptable. Besides that staff is great.

Adding on to my previous review to also reccomend Jason at the Flatbush location, where I took a few classes to prepare for the test. Jason was a truly fantastic teacher who helps you figure out your weaknesses and fears and figure out the best way to overcome them. Patient and smart, he really made a difference to my confidence and key points to improve my judgment and trust my skills. I strongly recommend Jonathan at the Dean Street location as a driving instructor. Really balanced, supportive, great mix of fundamentals and calm approach. Thank you Jonathan!

I did my driving classes with Erika in Brooklyn. Without a doubt I’d say Erika is one of the kindest souls out there. She teaches you how to drive in the right way!!! Her tactics, her way, it’s like no other. She made me feel comfortable, confident and calm at all times. When you make a mistake, she makes you learn from it and then she challenges you back until that mistake isn’t a mistake anymore. She makes sure you don’t make the same mistakes. She really prepares you in the best way I’ve ever seen. And the most important part is that she’s kind, sweet, funny and always makes sure you have a good time learning. She’s such a friendly person. I could not recommend a person more than her. Also, there’s a receptionist named Princess, she’s just incredible. Erika and I would talk about how amazing she is. She’s patient. If you have a problem she will try her best and help you no matter what. I had a great experience with them. Erika is someone I am so grateful for!! She’s the best :)!

I had some driving experience a few years ago, and this year I took seven classes with Revolution Driving School. I had lessons with Diego in Queens and Shannon in Manhattan and they are both great instructors. I personally learn better when I receive feedback, and both instructors made it clear on what I am doing well, what I need to improve on, and more importantly, HOW I can be a better driver. They gave simple and effective demonstrations for turning, parking, 3 point turns, and everything that is covered on the road test, and I feel that I was well prepared to drive safely in NYC. With their guidance I passed my road test on the first try! I am very thankful and I plan on taking one more lesson to learn how to drive on the highway. I recommend this school and I can recommend Diego and Shannon.

I've taken sporadic classes in the past, but no instructor shined brighter than Mr. Shannon. As many have already mentioned, his patience, knowledge, and guidance are unparalleled - as a driving instructor, you'd be in no better hands (esp if you're learning in UES) But what I feel truly sets him apart is how fun our time together was. It's the carpool karaoke for me, definitely the determining factor in getting my license in just 10 classes 🙈 If you need an instructor who goes above & beyond, who genuinely cares for your success, I cannot recommend Mr. Shannon enough. I can't say enough things about how great my experience with Exus Driving School was. Their staff are consistently organized and on top of scheduling. I was placed with the same instructor every Saturday and Sunday (Gabriel), and he was professional, patient, knowledgeable, and communicated clearly about what I needed to do to be successful. Although I was pretty anxious about driving and had never driven before, I got a little better with every lesson, and passed the test on my first try. 100% thanks to Exus for everything.

I failed my road test twice but I finally passed thanks to The Hudsun Brother Driving School. The previous driving school I went to in the Longwood section of the Bronx ( I will not mention the name of the school) didn’t teach me anything they just wanted the money and one of the instructors traumatized me ! I learned the hard way when they said the closest one is not always the best one. Ruben helped me build my confidence and corrected a lot of the mistakes I was making. He really cares about his students and is not just thinking about the money like some of these driving schools do. 100% better than the first driving school I did. I was able to pass the test with only one driving class. If I took more classes I would’ve definitely felt more confident. They give you a date for the exam and then come up with excuses that you were late, and you cannot continue with the exam even if you arrive two hours early. They do not respond to messages or calls. The driving instructor shouts a lot, distracts your focus, does not give you enough time, and it is impossible for him to admit that you are a good and prepared driver for the exam. I do not recommend going to them; it's a bad and fraudulent school. They deceived me, and I will never forgive them.

I passed my motorcycle on a first try! Thank God, Mary, and my guardian angel, and of course Valentino Valentino is friendly approachable, and he took me on a small area visual remote from the test site but similar and into a remote parking lot to practice just before the test. He also has a good price tag and allows you to use your own motorcycle. Also, Yonkers has you do the maneuvers in a parking lot not a street, which fair for beginners. So get out there and ride, and pay Valentino a visit. You can’t go wrong!!!

I booked one class with Romeo & he asked if I was high then said people are going to think that I am due to my driving. Idk maybe he was the high one because I already told him that I barely knew how to drive, which is why I was at a driving school to learn in the first place. That was in 2023 & his lack of professionalism on DAY ONE is why I went with a different school. Hopefully things have changed now.

I needed a refresher and a car to use for my driving test. I called Himalayan Driving School and they responded fast and had great availability..I scheduled a 90 min refresher course 2 days before my test. The driving instructor was excellent and gave me a “Dummy-Proof” Way of how to parallel park lol.. the prices are affordable and I will refer people to this driving school

Absolutely unprofessional and unacceptable experience. Jessi Driving School demands full payment upfront even before scheduling your road test. Once they have your money, it becomes nearly impossible to get a confirmed date, and you’re left calling repeatedly just to get basic updates or reschedule. Worse, if you’re unable to attend—no refund is offered, no matter the reason. Instead, you’re met with rude and dismissive treatment, as if your time and money don’t matter. They also withhold your personal documentation (like 5 hours course) and make it difficult to retrieve anything unless you go in person and argue. Their behavior borders on abusive—completely lacking transparency, basic courtesy, or professionalism. This is not how a driving school should operate. I strongly advise looking elsewhere if you want honest, respectful service.

The instructor(Johnny Scott) was amazing! He was intense(in a good way), to the point, entertaining, engaging, and very friendly. I totally recommend him. He knows Spanish fluently. And was well prepared. He showed the proper amount of empathy also. I loved him!

Great instructor! Guides you through everything very concisely. Easy going personality to put you in a comfortable environment to learn and comprehend the steps and fundamentals for driving, Highly recommend having Johnny for lessons! I had 2 45 minute lessons with him , very little experience driving prior to and very little confidence behind the wheel and after my sessions I have a great understanding of how to operate a vehicle and a newfound confidence.

Mr. Johnny Scott is a phenomenal instructor. I thought I was wasting my time and money paying for a lesson, but after riding with and being critiqued by Johnny I know I wouldn’t have passed without the extra guidance and advice he provided me with. When I say my test examiner was calling my techniques perfect!! I mean that would not be the case if I wasn’t provided with the knowledge I received that morning from Johnny. I strongly advise getting a lesson prior to your road test because you never know what little (but very important) details you may miss out on. And for those of you who don’t get the opportunity to have a lesson with Johnny, I recommend purchasing his book, “Drive Alive”. Not only is it affordable but it is everything and more for what you’d need to pass this exam, first try. I will be purchasing it for my sister in the near future! First time driving in NYC after living here for 10 years, and was met by Monty the instructor. Monty makes you feel extremely comfortable, safe and gives you all the tools and confidence to succeed. I will definitely be back for another lesson. Plus he was really fun to talk to, making the anxiety lessen. I wish I could give 10 stars.

Perfect park is the perfect place, if you are looking for an amazing driving school!!! They helped my daughter not only learn how to drive, but also to have confidence in her ability to do so!!! Monty is truly the best instructor out there!!! His patience and guidance is very much appreciated!!! Additionally, Robert gave her tons of tips to help her with the road test. My daughter thank GD passed her road test on the first try!!

Webster Driving School is the absolute best. All the staff members are very knowledgeable, patient and supportive. They will work around your availability making sure you are comfortable. They really do care about their students. Even when you fail, they will contact/ check in with you. Encouraging you to keep trying, making sure they work with you on your weakest areas. Had the best experience with this school and I will definitely recommend them to anyone. Money well spent. Thank you for believing in me guys!

I started my driving journey back in December 2024 but later the entire school was destroyed by a burst water city pipe that flooded it the whole building so I called the school for my money. They assured me everything will be taking off. They were there every day working from a car making sure every student was assisted. Thank you Webster School!! Today I have my drivers license but the journey will be forever unforgettable for your responsibility and trust!! I hope the best for All of you!!!

I chose this driving school because it was conveniently located for me, and I’m glad I went in and restarted this journey. I say restarted because I took lessons with *another* driving school, and sadly I failed the road test. I knew I had to make the investment again, and that was okay since this school like many others, gives you options. I had already completed my 5 hour class online and they gladly accommodated. My instructor goes by Chiquita. Chiquita will tell it how it is and I appreciated that she kept it real with me. She pointed out my areas of growth as well as my strengths. She helped me gain the confidence I needed to be a safe driver and ultimately pass the road test! I think it was sweet that she checked up on me to see how I did. I knew I had made some mistakes, but Janet - also an instructor & drove another student and I to the road test - reassured me it would be okay, and it was! Good luck to everyone, and thank you Chiquita! 2nd time was the charm!!

Webster Auto Driving school is 10/10 the best school in the Bronx I would highly recommend it to anyone who want to go for their License!!! The office staff are very flexible and accommodating annd super sweet. And shout out to my instructor Yunior he is one of the best instructor's💯 all instructors are amazing! Yo tome la clase con el Profesor José Jaén, me gustó de la forma que el profesor impartió la clase, explicó todos los temas muy bien y dio muy buenos consejos que se puede aplicar en el día a día, para mi haciendo el mejor profesor que imparte clase de renovación de licencia del TLC.

Very professional, Punctual, and patience. I recommend 100%. Before taking the driver test, they will always recap every step and what to expect. I was very comfortable and knew I would pass! And I did !

Les comparto mi experiencia con la escuela Denis Driving School , pues con la primera persona que tuve comunicacion fue con Maria quien me explico los planes y como seria el proceso de tomar la clases tambien respondio todas mis dudas ,desde el primer dia que hable con ella me senti en confianza y segura de que quería tomar clases con ellos , mis primeras clases las tome con maria y es una excelente instructora, muy paciente y te explica todo detalladamente, también tome clases con Fidel un excelente instructor , muy paciente y cada punto importante que me explico al tomar cada clase me hicieron mejorar lo que fui aprendiendo en cada practica , hoy tome mi examen por primera vez y lo pase , gracias a Dios y a la escuela Denis Driving School Por todo , Maria y Fidel ustedes tienen un Don para enseñar que Dios los bendiga, ( Resaltando ellos me enseñaron a conducir desde cero, no tenía ningun conocimiento los recomiendo al 100% , LOS MEJORES.)
