Silver lake driving school is the best and much better with Darrin who was a good teacher. He took all his time to explain how everything works on the car, make sure you feel comfortable and anytime you make a mistake assure it's normal and teach how to correct it. He doesn't mind to repeat same thing over . With Darrin ,mistakes are opportunities to learn. I really like his way of teaching.
I took my test with Darrin, he was amazing! He made me feel confident and made me laugh and enjoy taking the test and helped me pass. Absolutely recommend him. To add, I've tried practicing with other driving schools but no one helps like Silver Lake. They're the best. My whole family took the test with them and we all love this team. Matt is awesome and great at getting back to you, very helpful.
Great company, had the pleasure of speaking and riding with Darrin and he’s a great guy. They came prepared and on time, I didn’t take the classes because I know how to drive but they were kind enough to let me use their vehicle to help me get my license for a fee. Test 4 and 5 were game-changers, thanks especially to Damiian, my brilliant instructor. He picked up on my nerves right away and tailored each lesson with calm vibrancy, patience, and precision. His teaching style is rare—he never patronizes or creates a hierarchy, gives you room to choose what you want to practice, and brings humor and cultural sensitivity to every session. Don't be fooled by his cheerful vibe and performing arts background—he's watching your driving like a hawk and steps in the moment safety’s at risk or if he thinks you need to improve a manoeuvre. I also had one lesson with Darren, who helped boost my confidence behind the wheel. And shoutout to Matt for being super professional about scheduling! 🚘 Cars are well-maintained, lessons are thoughtful, and the whole team is fantastic. I recently completed my driving lessons at this school, and I can confidently say it was one of the best decisions I’ve made. From start to finish, the experience was smooth, professional, and truly focused on helping students become confident, safe drivers. I especially want to give a huge shoutout to Mr. Ali, who was my instructor. He is extremely patient, calm, and knowledgeable. He doesn’t just teach you how to pass the road test – he teaches you how to actually drive in real-life situations. He explains everything clearly, never rushes you, and makes sure you understand every step before moving on. Even when I made mistakes, he corrected me in a respectful way and helped me feel comfortable behind the wheel.
I’ve booked multiple sessions with this driving school and I can confidently say that they are very helpful, very reliable and very positive with helping beginner drivers like me. i’ve taken my drivers test with this driving school and passed with flying colors! The driving school significantly eased my anxiety and effectively prepared me for my test. Prior to enrolling, I found 90-degree parking to be quite challenging. 1. Instructor (A) got confused about their own regulations & eventually have to reschedule my lesson for the next day - sacrificing my weekend 2. After-lesson insights & inputs were absolutely generic, he even forgot to bring EDI final checklist for better road test prep 3. This has since lead to 2 times driving road test failure After real thoughts & I do not say this lightly: There’s nothing enhanced here except enhanced failure rate! Try another institute & hope you’ll get better education!
A mixed bag. Cons: Instructor for classroom portion was not set up with microphone, and attendees could not always hear very well. Instructor for classroom portion made a number of political comments, which is unnecessary and unprofessional (my take, no matter the "leaning" of the comments). Instructor for classroom portion offered students candy in return for leaving 5-star Google reviews. Definitely tacky and left me wondering what kind of ethics are behind the business as a whole. Pros: Instruction booklet is well organized and presents information very well. Driving instructors were diligent about letting us know of cancellations/changes on their end.
Enhanced driving institute is wonderful. So knowledgeable and caring about the students and making sure they understand and learn the important steps to becoming a safe driver. I have 2 kids that completed the course…1 did the -in- person course and, 1 did the zoom course and my youngest is about to start the self guided course. So we will experience all three options that are offered. We were very happy with the in-person course as well as the zoom course. BTW was also very convenient to schedule and the instructor was very helpful and patient with both my kids.
Two of my teens have going through EDI's classroom and behind the wheel trainings. Both were positive experiences. The instructor for behind the wheel was professional, encouraging, and provided specific feedback so they could be confident in taking their exam.
Great classroom curriculum that kept my son engaged. The BTW instructors are helpful and communicate well. One thing to be aware of if your child is hesitant and needs extra time is that there is a $75 fee added on if you don't get all of the (required) hours in within the year. We were trying to be careful and had forgotten that after signing the contract. We'll be more aware if we choose EDI for our other children. Overall, still recommend.

I went to Tom for CDL training in Wisconsin. I had been driving semi for farming for 5 years. I honestly thought I was ready for the exam before going to Tom. The pre-trip, backing and road test are much more involved and detailed than I had thought. I was no where near ready. After several short visits with Tom I passed and got my class A CDL today! Tom was awesome! He’s very knowledgeable, helpful, patient, and he’s a great teacher. He explains things in detail and is always happy to answer any questions. If you’re considering a CDL trainer in Wisconsin or Minnesota I would definitely recommend going to Tom at the CMV Tutor! 5 stars!
I had a great experience here. Tom will work with your schedule and is a good natured, patient, and thorough instructor. He will get you to where you need to be to pass your Class A drivers test without a doubt.
Tom is a no-nonsense, dedicated Instructor and Driver. His Integrity towards your education and proficiency is desired for this profession. If you find yourself wondering who, what, when & where. CMV Tutor is the place to go to get your CDL class “A”. Tom is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. The reason I went with Tom was his emphasis on safety and being mindful of what you’re doing. He wants you to feel comfortable when you’re driving. Also make sure to study those pre trips. The pre trips tends to be harder than the actual driving.
I have had my class a for over a year but had an auto restriction on my license. CMV tutor was the only place in MN I could find that could work with me to learn to drive a manual and get that restriction removed without trying to cram it in in a week long refresher course. You'll get one on one training and will go at the pace that works for you to get you to where you're ready to test. I had Tom as my trainer and he did a great job. I would recommend CMV tutor for anyone that wants to learn to drive a manual truck and get your class a.

Mike does an excellent job at helping people learn to drive. He comes in with a smile on his face, visits and makes connections with individuals helping them feel comfortable with driving. Each time our child drove with Mike, he always talked about the positives and let us know what we needed to be working on with our child. I would highly recommend to be learning from one of the best and you won't be disappointed.
I never write reviews, but this one I really want to share. We are happy that our daughter had a chance to take her driving lessons at Heavy D Driving School. It is difficult these days to find such professionals who can explain and graft the right driving attitude and responsibility to a teen. I am self-taught... and now my daughter is pointing to deficiencies in my driving :) need to work on that. Those students who get a chance to take lessons with Mike A. - one of the school instructors will be really lucky. He does a great job, I am sure other instructors too. We had a great experience with Heavy D Driving. Highly recommend!
Heavy D is a family-focused driving school. Students learn the ins and outs of driving in a classroom setting and then put their skills to use as they begin permit driving. Eric was encouraging and supportive and was always available to answer any questions. My son felt he learned a great deal with Kim during his behind-the-wheel training. She showed our son the sweet "stick spot" in learning how to parallel park and corner back in. To my amazement, our son did it perfectly his first time and never looked back! He passed his road test with flying colors thanks to Eric and Kim! I highly recommend Heavy D!
My daughter had Mike for BTW and her test. She loved working with him! He gave her so many great tips! I feel much more comfortable with her driving after the time she spent with him. He made her feel comfortable and much more confident. Great guy and great to work with! He made driving fun and safe for her!

Mohamed was an amazing teacher of my driving! It is helpful that he always sticks to driving manual manual and very stringent on my driving, which turned out to be really helpful. And I was able to pass the driving exam for the first shot. Of course, my experience was not completely perfect. They are short of staff, and it was difficult for me to contact with them first of all. (I think something is wrong with their website.) Sometimes they was not able to pick me up on time. Even with these negative points, I give five stars. I hope they can hire more staff and expand their business, so that many people can obtain driver's licenses more easily.
Best instructor ever! My experience driving has been 5 months. And, I never learned a skill later in life and picked it up so quickly. Yes, choosing the right driving school is paramount! So glad I found this one. I will always be grateful.
Alamo is great driving school, I recommend it to anyone who wants to learn how to drive, I have almost started from scratch with Alamo as I drove very few times before. My instructor was Mohamed Irshat, he was very experienced and patient and teaches you how to drive not only for the road test but for your entire life,and how to to be a defensive driver. I've finally got my licence and I can drive alone!! Thank you.
I had failed my road couple of times before i decided to take up behind the wheel training classes at Alamo.That changed my overall approach towards driving and i was able to get my drivers licence. I recommend Alamo for the good instructors who take the effort of teaching each and every small details which eventually plays big role during your road test and eventually helps you become a good driver. I had an amazing experience learning to drive with Karma! He is extremely professional, patient, and knowledgeable. Karma helped me build my confidence learning to drive every session we met, he truly cared about helping me become a confident and safe driver. Karma trained me on the wheel road driving. During the training, he trained me on the various lane changes, 90-degree and parallel packing. He is a patient minded trainer. Starting looking for good driving school and found Life Star Driving School and read a lot of reviews about Karma and decided to go for him and I didn’t regret it at all.He explained step by step everything I need to know and how to drive safe . The whole team at 160 was fantastic. The branch manager Alex made signing up and scheduling very easy. He was very knowledgeable about the current rules, regulations, and requirements. The field instructors Shawn, Jim, and John were top notch. They all have lots of real world experience, which shows in their teaching. If you want to learn how to drive truck the right way from a great group of gentlemen, and have fun doing it, then I would highly recommend 160 Driving Academy in Rochester. I started driving truck 2 weeks after obtaining my Class A with 160 and I feel extremely confident driving out in the real world no matter what situation I run into. Again, highly recommend this school.

Took my first class today (300 bundle/6 classes). Setting up the first class was easy, both times I've been spoken to respectfully and had a good conversation with the instructor (mark). Very respectful people and very knowledgeable, highly recommend.
So far so good. My daughter is on her second runabout today, we'll see how SHE does. But to date the company has been very good and easy to work with. They have nice, safe cars to teach in. Driver instructor has always been on site, waiting when we pull up so I can say they are very punctual, if that matters to you. I can't complain on this because it was actually the wife who has scheduled our daughters hours so far, but I find it a tad annoying that so far we've only done 1 hour appointments. I am not sure whether they provide the option to schedule a longer drive time so I can't dis them. I would just prefer they schedule a 2 hour block.

Dealing with this company has been a nightmare. I have called several times to try to get a behind the wheel scheduled and am still waiting for a return call. The last time I called the voice messaging system was full. This has been one of the worst experiences and I have had three other kids go through drivers ed. I would not recommend this company to anyone. They have no follow through with their customers. I need to get 2 more behind the wheels scheduled so my son can take his test - So far I have not gotten any calls returned.
Elite driving school did a great job! I would recommend them to anyone needing to get their driver’s education, behind the wheel done.
Besides very challenging scheduling right now because of covid, I had a Great time with my driver Ruth Ann. She was very polite and offered me a very good learning environment and experience.
I liked the flexible class times! it was really helpful when i had conflicts i couldn't reschedule!
My daughter and I liked how she could go at her own pace and take the classes in any order. The owner let her retake the final review class more than once. That was great for this kid! Communication wasn't always easy, but I did get replies after an email and a phone call. She liked the teachers and the BTW instructors, so I guess that's what matters most.
