DO NOT GO if you are BROWN and don’t trust the positive reviews! I recently visited this driving school for my first driving test after seeing some positive reviews, but unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. The instructor (Thanh Pham) spoke very quickly with a strong accent, which made it hard to follow instructions, and she didn’t give me time to ask questions before the test began. When checking my documents, she and another staff member laughed, which felt unprofessional and disrespectful. During the test, her communication was RUDE AND IMPATIENT. She took control of the steering wheel a few times, spoke harshly, and used the pedals on her side while blaming me for errors. This made the entire experience extremely stressful. At one point, she made a comment comparing my country’s driving style to being “slow” and said, “This is the US, you need to drive fast.” This felt discriminatory and inappropriate, and I found it VERY OFFENSIVE. No one should have to experience such remarks during a driving test. The test lasted less than 10 minutes, and I was told I missed over 21 head checks even though I performed them consistently. The process did not seem fair or transparent. Additionally, the school only accepts cash, which raises concerns about their business practices. They also encourage you to retake the test with them for another $50, which seems EXPLOITATIVE AND POSSIBLY A SCAM. Overall, this was an unprofessional and uncomfortable experience. I hope this review helps others, especially international drivers – be aware before choosing this place for their test.
Thanh Pham was amazing, and very nice , their road test was very good and straight forward, very easy to set up appointments !
After my first fail at a different place i came here and they helped explain what i did wrong the first time. I tried again two days later and passed! Ill be recommending this place to my brother whos going to start driving soon and to people I know!
Thanh Pham is the absolute BEST driving Instructor. If there were 10 stars to give, I would ! I wouldn’t recommend going anywhere else. If you need a driver road test or any other services, this is the driving school to use. She was kind, caring and very patient with my daughter for her road test. Very clean and welcoming office as well. Her husband is also wonderful and very kind. We used the Driver License Division and it was an absolute DISASTER ! Save yourself time and a headache and just come here ! You won’t regret it ! I’ll be back in 3 years with my son ! Thank you C&T !

This place is amazing. Reliable, professional, and convenient for a busy family. My daughter gained so much driving confidence and learned so much with the amazing staff. I am so impressed with Eco Driving! Ken was so responsive and helpful through the whole process. My daughter did all her drives with Amy. Amy was so kind, patient and made my daughter feel so comfortable. Amy picked her up at our house and brought her home after all of her drives which was incredible!! Eco driving is AMAZING!!!! They were able to get my 15 year old daughter behind the wheel immediately. We had signed up for another driving company, and we are still on the weight list for driving lessons. I wish that we had signed up with ECO driving from the beginning. Strongly recommend Amy! She was so patient with my daughter and made her feel very confident behind the wheel. Eco driving also uses a SUV vehicle which helped my daughter become comfortable in my larger SUV vehicle. This is an amazing school, and they genuinely care about their students! Alex, Zainah, Bryan, and Katlyn were all absolutely awesome to work with. They truly take their time with you, making sure you are incredibly well-prepared for your driving test, even if it means going beyond the minimum government-required hours. They are definitely not trying to 'push you out the door' as soon as you hit 40 hours. I can't recommend this school enough! My wife and I both went through their SLC school, and we drove up from Spanish Fork every day just to attend – it was absolutely worth the commute!
OWN PACE • AMAZING INSTRUCTORS What great people! "Move at your own pace" is a real thing. I appreciate how they let me schedule class around my full-time job! They are real people. They teach, then test your knowlegde and skills on exact information needed to pass both the written and driving skills exams. They have a great driving course which resembles the exact course for the state and other testing locations. Including a private classroom.

I just passed my actual driving test today 02-24-24. I am happy that I chose this school. Daniel is an awesome teacher. He will give you experienced how to drive on the Freeway so that you can gain your confidence in driving. Keep it up National Driving school for those like me who want to learn and gain confidence in driving. I would highly recommend this driving school. God Bless😀

Well I just finished today Thursday, June 22nd, 2017 and I will recommend this school to everyone. Daniel is the best instructor I've ever had. Great man and he has a good sense of humor and he does his job very well. This is the best place to get it done if you need your license. It's worth your time going here.
One of the best driving schools out there. I had lessons for three days, and got my license on the third day. Daniel, the instructor, was amazing. He's very flexible in scheduling, very personable add willing to work with you until you feel comfortable behind the wheel, and he's good at teaching parallel parking. Great place to get your driver's license quickly.
If you're an anxious driver who really wants to get their license, I would recommend this school for you!! I was an extremely anxious driver before coming here. But after meeting other drivers who were also anxious, and working with the instructor, I gained a lot of confidence in my driving skills and passed the test!!! The instructor is SUPER nice and understanding. He was really calm and supportive the whole time and did his absolute best to help relieve the anxiety I was feeling about driving. I'm kinda sad my time here is over but super happy with the skills and confidence I'm leaving with.

Kevin is so awesome and funny. Completing my 6 hours of driving with him was such an amazing experience. He made jokes the whole time and it helped calm my nerves. My favorite part was him teaching me the most easiest way to parallel park and it worked. Reach out ti Kevin if you’re in need of getting your driver’s license
Kevin is very friendly and inviting. I did my road test with him with a lot of anxiety and he instantly was able to put me at ease. Went over everything I would need to perform during the test clearly, allowed me to ask any questions before the test. I had a hard time parallel parking and he still passed me my first try! Allied Driving School was by far one of the most best experiences I’ve had. I was very nervous as I never really had too much experience behind the wheel and I wanted to feel more confident before taking my driving test and the instructor was very friendly, Patient, Knowledgeable, And always made me feel at ease. There’s a reason why there are so many good reviews regarding this school. I wish I can take my driving test with them, but I’m confident that I can pass it all because of this school.
I liked how the instructor told me to relax and to take my time. That helped me be less nervous and the instructor guides you through the whole thing and makes you feel less nervous and more relaxed and confident. That helped me pass my test. I definitely do recommend coming here to take your test.
I really loved my experience at Allied Driving School. Kevin was a great teacher and was so patient and so kind. For someone who hasn’t obtained a DL before, I had to go through the entire process of at-home study and 6 hours behind the wheel for one week. (2hrs for 3 days.) Kevin was so thorough and clear on what to do and what not to do. Fast forward to the road test, i was nervous and all… all i could think about was was Kevin in my head saying it’s gonna be alright! “YOU GOT THIS TRYSON” and sure enough i passed and felt very accomplished! Thank you to the best instructor ever!!!! Highly recommend to enroll and get your license if you don’t have one already. :)

Absolutely fantastic instructor. Both of my kids went through for their driving tests and the time and detail spent were appreciated. My anxious child didn’t pass the first time and they were encouraging and coached through the miss. They were excited to try again with the same instructor after the grace period and passed. It showed that they were a true teacher for them to be willing to try again with the same instructor. We look forward to recommending this company.
Daud was a really kind and patient teacher and he was very thorough as well. I have had a really bad phobia of driving for years, but I was able to face that with his teaching and feel safe. I went into the class not knowing hardly any maneuvers and lacking confidence and after his class I was able to pass my road test on the first try!

I deeply appreciated Mr. Eftin's patience and expert guidance, as this not only allowed me to settle my nerves but adequately manage my expectations during the State Road Test. Wright Driving School was so good and easy! The instructors are great too! My instructor Marnie Shook was amazing and made sure i had everything completely down before i took the test to ensure i passed.
Marnie was an amazing instructor! She kept me calm, and didn't make me stress at all! 10/10 would recommend.
Kylie really came through for us when the instructor for the Vernal area wasn't available. She came out to Vernal to do the driving sessions for my son herself! He enjoyed them and learned a lot! He also did really well with the content from the online course, despite having to redo a few of the modules because of some technical difficulties.

Way to Go! Wright Driving school is superb. The driving Curriculum was an excellent course and easy to Navigate. I had a well knowledgeable instructor Jacob S. who was so detailed in explaining the road skills and maneuvering everyday driving experiences on the road way. He was patient and made me feel comfortable and confident to become a great driver. Thanks to Jacob I successfully passed my road skills test today. Yay!

Jake and Wes are awesome they fit me in as fast as possible right after I called they did great working around my schedule and were super chill and nice.
The instructor was very nice and patient. I felt like I could always ask questions and I wasn’t afraid to drive at all. I felt very safe and he was very good at explaining so I learned very quickly.

Drove with Long. Honestly have never had such a fantastic driving experience than with him. Extremely skilled and knowledgeable. Happy to do what he does and I can’t think of anyone I’ve interacted with that deserves 5 stars more than him. The company is helpful and responsive too but Long really is the selling point. All round cool guy.

Great school, great people, great experience, they make you feel welcomed and comfortable! Billy, Alex, and Richard great Instructors full of experiences. Easy going and very understanding Instructors. Would definitely recommend this school for anyone that’s Beginner or even if u know mild knowledge for trucking they work with u on that behave.
Alex and Richard were such wonderful trainers. I came here as a third party tester. I let my CDL expire and had to retake the test again. I highly recommend paying for an hour or two prior to testing as the requirements have changed. Hayden made me feel at ease during my road rest. He explained everything thoroughly and was such a nice young man! Thank you all very much. This facility also does quite a bit of charity work which I was able to witness first hand.
I came into this school with little experience in trucking, but with the help of shae, Dallin, Brian, and Hayden I was able to overcome the obstacles of learning how to downshift, upshift, and maneuver around the city and highway. They always answered any questions I had, were patient and upfront when I was having difficulty, letting me know where to correct my mistakes. Thanks apex, I would recommend this to anyone looking to get their CDL!
Become a good trucker even thanks to Apex, after the school I started to drive immediately as a company driver. Was their care and tips I never had an issue. I highly recommend Apex for the quality, the integrity and honesty of the entire group. Try hey teach you only how to drive, the regulations and the practice of how to this and that The real challenge is to deal with companies that want to hire you. Pretty dishonest and bully. Remember always what your instructor said when you have an issue, the truck is supposed to not leak exhaust in the cabin, so buy a carbon monoxide sensor and if it alarms during the job ir the idling, don’t think too much, put the truck out of order, call the company and if they starts to makes stories drive til the next shop, say NO. Call the DOT and let them know that the company pretend you drive in violation. If you don’t do this, the company will retaliate and put in the black spots. Companies are not families, are commercial entities that don’t care about you driver. Don’t be fooled by great words. Money is money , words are words. Protect yourself, you are alone while driving, only you are the one who cares of you.
I had issues with another school, couldn't get enough training time in to take the test. Apex was willing to work with me, and make sure I had the skills required to pass the test. They are very knowledgable in what they do, and they will take care of you and make sure you possess the skills required to pass the test. If you're thinking about getting your CDL, Apex should be your first choice, Alex the owner wants to see everyone pass the test, and drive safely when starting their career as a truck driver. If you've been screwed by other schools, or if you are just thinking about getting your class A license, you need to talk to these guys, they will get you sorted.

THIS INFO FOR THE ROAD TEST. I made a appointment to get my road test done at the Provo location. I was never explicitly told that I need my permit, though it's just common sense to bring it. Because I did forget it I showed up and was told to schedule to a later date. Which I thought was fine, of course forgetting my permit was my fault. However once I called to reschedule I was told that by forgetting my permit my 50 dollar fee needed to be repaid. Which it says nowhere in the road test portion of their website and the representative who scheduled me in the first place never told me. And then that I couldn't test there because there were no more slots open for me to schedule into. So they just took 50$, then told me I'd have to repay that, then couldn't reschedule me for another time if I were to pay the another 50. Though I will give the person on the phone credit for giving me other places I could test at, thank you for that. Coming back to this a second later, they asked me for my phone number, but never a email and I was never sent anything to confirm my purchase or any sort of confirmation email/text. So there's no sort of formal documentation. Edit: This is why i'm complaining, I know I needed to bring my permit. Like I said that's my fault. Though no one told me I needed to bring it from your end and never in anyway was i told, by person or website, that I would my slot would be for forfitted and my money taken if I failed to bring it. That was until after I called again to schedule and my money was already taken. Which is borderline against UCSPA.
I was an observer for the A1 Driving school, my instructor Jackie was amazing! I had Jackie for an Observation and Drive. Jackie was great with going into detail about turns. He gave a step by step process that will help in the future with different driving techniques. Jackie gave excellent tips for the Road Test. He was great and very calm while driving! Jackie does an amazing job of making you understand why you do certain things while driving.
I had a wonderful learning experience with Jackie Leung in this summer. He is a very professional and experienced driving coach. I was not very confident about my driving skills but he was very patient and kind to make me feel not nervous anymore. I have learned driving for several years but I didn't have the courage to take the road test. Guess I won't be able to pass the test if I was not lucky enough to have Jackie as my coach. High recommend!
Jackie is AMAZING! On our first lesson, I told him I did not have any driving experience so we drove in a parking lot and then in a matter of 30 mins I was ready to drive on the road! 2 lessons later, I became even better! I never thought I would be able to drive this well in a very short time but Jackie made it possible. He is very patient, detail-oriented, and always has an answer to every question you have. I highly recommend taking this course with him. You won't regret it!

Great school, The instructors give you all the tools and knowledge to learn quickly , while giving you the space to make mistakes, its a non judgmental environment . I have attended different schools which lacked in different areas and premier is a well rounded school that i recommend to anyone who is thinking about joining the industry but is nervous , they will not fail you .

I enjoyed my time at this school and made some really important friendships. They have some great knowledgeable instructors and the office staff are very caring people. I tested on a manual and I’m very glad I did. I have no restrictions. The living space was not designed to be a Marriott. You are suppose to get in class pass the first time and get out. I did that and I’ll never forget my time here. This CDL-A was a 10 year goal I kept putting off. I’m now in the elite class of drivers making up less than 1% of the US population.
This was a wonderful School all the way from the recruiters to front office to the instructors. I 100% recommend if you're going to pick a driving school pick premiere in salt lake City Utah. I had a great experience there and all the glory belongs to God and the name of Jesus
All these instructors are good if you want to learn to drive CDL, you may come down to Indiana Sierra England trainers are very good and the office goals are good too. That’s why we have our CDL license I give them hundred percent for the instructors and Emmy, the girls in the office I give Tony 101% and Harold and James and Matt. Walked in to take my drivers test (it’s usually appointment only) but he was nice enough to take me in last minute, I enjoyed taking my driving test here, I felt comfortable and safe and he made very helpful tips as well, The lady who works at the front is also very nice as well. Thank you guys so much!
Horrible experience I don’t recommend them. I paid for two of my kids to do the driving class only and one for the home study and driving class. Scheduling was difficult with the instructor running late, canceling last minute and calling the day of to push back driving hours to whatever was convenient for him. When I provided him with feedback he became rude and began stating my daughter was the issue. For my other student, one of the owners (woman) was pretty rude. They have posted office hours but apparently you are required to make an appointment during those hours. I explained to her what hours were on her door and she said I could come back later when she was there. Although she did drive to the office she was so rude and told me how I made her late to her appointment so she would not service my other child and gave me a partial reimbursement. Their customer service is horrible, I will never do business with them again. They are rude, unprofessional, and charge extra fees for everything so be sure to read the fine print!

Highly recommend against going here!! The guy just rushes you through the whole process (with a heavy accent so you can’t understand him) and makes you go 25mph in a neighborhood with kids playing!!! I genuinely feel like he just rushed and failed me to get more money.. Definitely will never go back or recommend to anyone🙌

Before signing up for the driving classes, read through those bad reviews!!! I would never spend money on a driving lesson where the instructor is late, cuts off 20 minutes on every driving lessons without explaining before paying money and spends the rest of the time scrolling on their phone. I doubt if their instructors received employee training. The instructor wasn’t patient enough, and the whole school wasn’t organized. I’m really mad at my experience here!!!

They have great service and had a good drive experience at the West Jordan location I passed my state drivers test I highly recommend going to a1 driving school in West Jordan
The course work is easy, and understandable. Everyone complaining either sucks at driver or had no experience at all before driving with an instructor, instructor is very understanding and patient, but yes they do take the wheel when it is necessary. (Edit: got my license first try on the state road test)
Over the years, three of my kids have completed this program. It is efficient and they learn excellent driving skills. They get superb experience by doing their driving hours in the real world and not just on a course at the school parking lot.
It was a great experience to drive in the West Jordan location. My driving instructor was super chill and nice and i would do it again if I could

I took my drivers test here . The driving instructor did an amazing job at explaining everything and making the test a little less scary . I really recommend !!
I had been terrified to get behind the wheel again due to driving anxiety. However, I knew it was something that must be done. I apologize for not asking what my instructor's name was. I did private lessons with him. He kept me relaxed and let me know it was okay to take things slowly. I felt much more confident by the end of the drive. Thank you!
I foolishly procrastinated getting an appointment with the DLD to the point where they didn't have availability till September. My "permit" was set to expire Aug 3rd. My spouse called Global Driving School July 31st and they were able to squeeze me in the next day. It takes 24 hours for my test to be sent to the DLD. Which means, I'll have made the cut off with 1 day to spare. Li was the test administrator. She was so pleasant and transparent with expectations. The test was quick and in a standard Drivers Ed car, complete with emergency brakes lol Oh man I'm so grateful! I would definately recommend. It only cost me $55 to save me. Li is my hero <3
We dont recommend this driving school they are after money not after passing the simple driving test.
This experience was not pleasant at all. From the moment he got into my car, he behaved unprofessionally and arrogantly. I felt uncomfortable because the judge felt like he was in court. Today I took my exam at another place and paid $20 less and passed, I do not recommend him. It turns out he only does this for business and to keep the money. I don't want to be your friend, but you need to be more professional and pleasant, this was a very unpleasant and disastrous experience.

This was the 2nd driving school I tried and I couldnt be happier with the experience. My tester was professional and patient and made me feel comfortable taking the test. He also gave me helpful feedback for me going forward. Highly recommend!
This driving company was great to work with! My daughter had a great experience, doing the road test. She felt comfortable and confident with her instructor. The best place to get your road test done! After calling and leaving a message, they texted back pretty quickly to get us scheduled. My husband was looking to do his road test within the same week and they got us scheduled the next day. The instructor was very nice and she did an amazing job!
Working with Independent Driving School was great! They responded to texts in a timely manner and were able to get our rode test done quickly. They informed us that if we had chosen them for our school experience and drive time, that they pick up and drop off!! Wow what a service! That would have been amazing! Save yourself some time and gas and use Independent Driving School for yourself or your teenager!

I had my suspicions of this place before attending, but after going through the 9 class course, I will say that this place is legit. The classes were pretty engaging and I got through the course easily. Would recommend !

my instructor was Ben and he was so helpful and kind. He made me feel very calm and that is very good since I get very anxious when doing tests. The secretary (Greta) was very nice and gave me all the important information and was very pleasant.

We were able to get in quick, which was great. The location was a little tricky to find due to construction in the area. You call to set up an appointment, they take your payment over the phone by credit card or by cash in person to reserve your time. $50 fee for the driving test. I would have liked to see an online payment portal. They were and got the job done as a child needed a driving test ASAP and mission accomplished.

Just passed my drivers test, the instructor was super chill and laid back. I didn’t feel nervous at all!
I was so nervous about the driving test that I postponed it until my learner’s permit almost expired (yes, almost 6 months). I took driving lessons with Mr. Fung and his calm attitude and confidence in me helped me immensely. I was able to drive in snowy conditions and pass my driving test first try. He is a very knowledgeable instructor, repeats the instructions all the time and even goes through the motions (like turning his head when I was supposed to do that). These little details made a huge difference. I wholeheartedly recommend his driving school.
We were able to got in the same day we called and the lady, was really nice, definitely recommend.
On my first day itself the driving instructor was very harsh in his tone, he was very rude, it was a 2 hour class and I just couldn't wait to get out of the car. I was teary eyed, still he continued to be harsh in his tone. I dropped out that day itself.
Everything went very well and professionally, the whole process was explained to me. I recommend! 💯

I would not recommend this place at all. Be aware they will tell you their text notification reminders on appointments are inaccurate and they will make you pay a 60 dollar fee for missing a session you didn't know about. This place will get as much money out of you as possible. They do not care about the student it's all about A1 driving school and how much money they can make. Not only that but I don't need to hear my driving instructors whole life story well I'm trying to concentrate and practice my driving skills. I wish no stars we're an option
My son had his final drive and realized when he got to the drive, he had lost his permit. We were charged $60 for having to cancel (bc you can’t drive without a permit!) and when I asked if they would open up a drive time so my son could complete the final requirement before getting his license the following week on his birthday, the answer was NO. It is nearly impossible to get driving times reserved… it feels like trying to get Taylor Swift concert tickets online. Their customer care has gone down hill since my oldest used them 7 years ago. Never did I see so much difficulty in completing the course and an unwillingness to help students finish up. I would go elsewhere for a private driving program bc it’s not worth the hassle, the cost, or time!!! ****Original post I gave 1 star but changed it to 2 stars bc somehow after I wrote this, no more than 2 minutes later, I had a call saying they had an opening and my son could have it… how ‘bout that! 😂****

They were very very nice, I am always going to suggest them to my friends and family. They are focused more on you getting your license rather than money.

Extremely difficult to schedule driving times, especially for a high school student who is in school when the drive times go online. Wasn't able to complete all the drives in the necessary timeframe
So Two weeks in advance I schedule and pay in full for my driving lesson. I show up for my scheduled time they told me over the phone. I was told to have a seat and they someone will come get me. After 30 minutes of waiting I ask how much longer only to find out the instructor has left for the day. I was charged 200$ for them to forget to schedule me amd then I am told I have to wait another two to three weeks when they have another opening. No thanks I will be asking for a refund and find a company who can handle penciling me in without forget to do the simple task.
I am a homeschooled teen and I took the at home course from A-1. The course was easy and educational and I absolutely loved it! The instructors are amazing! If you are homeschooled or just doing want to take drivers ed at school this is an great alternative! 10/10 would recommend!
My son has been trying to get his driving portion done for MONTHS we are unable to schedule anything. They said we have a year to get it done and the staff are ridiculous and rude. Do not pay money to these people they are thief's!
Signed up on 2017 fall and finish at the beginning of 2020, paying extension fee for $100 (should be finished in a year). I highly recommend come this sugarhouse location! 1. There are 2 instructors here: Glen Harrison and Sean Hatch. G: 7:40am to 3:55pm. 4 classes for 2 hours per day S: 4pm to 10:10pm. 3 sections Sean is a very AWESOME and passionate instructors. Be sure choose his class if you already know how to drive. He will teach you to be the SAFEST driver. 2. Sugarhouse finally canceled the 9 day in class study. The study didn't help out at all. 3. So many complaints on the registration so the new policy is that you could only register 1 drive per week, not 3 drives in a week in the past.

Scam, mean, she will do anything on her power to fail you. She cares more about the money, she has the weirdest personality ever and doesn’t try at all to communicate well with her customers
She will fail you the first time so you come back and pay her another $45 i have been driving since 6 years now and she failed me on head checks the first time?!?! Half of time i did not understand what she was saying and while driving she jammed on the brake on her side(on an empty road!!) And on top of all that she was not wearing a seat belt. Will not recommend
If I could give her no stars I would. I found her attitude extremely rude and demeaning. Her attitude was simply unprofessional. I do NOT recommend this instructor to anyone. Not to mention she is very hard to understand. Save your money and find a better instructor. I would HIGHLY recommend Drive Right. She's amazing.
