Circle City Driving was an excellent source for my son. He did the 6 hour behind the wheel course and also his Test drive. The instructor Mr. James was excellent with him and very patient . Not only did he instruct him on driving but also gave him excellent advice and mentorship. And i am pleased to say that my 16 year old is now a licensed drive. Thank you so much Circle City I will definitely refer anyone with teenage drivers here
I really enjoyed my experience with this school. I learned a lot of useful driving knowledge that I did not know before or even knew that I needed. The instructors are very down to earth and helpful. They really engage with the student and making sure that the student knows what they are doing correctly and safely. I highly recommend.
I took the 30 hours online course lessons and 8 hours of behind the wheel driving lessons with James Dix III. He is a phenomenal driving instructor and taught me how to better myself not only as a driver but as a person. He helped me to become more confident and believe in myself and taught me valuable life lessons during our instruction, and I feel more confident in my life and as a driver, I am currently completing my driving log and aim to complete the driver's test with him as well. I highly recommend him as a teacher, life coach, motivator, and driving instructor. I felt very safe during the lessons and he helped me challenge myself and build upon areas that needed improvement with each succeeding lesson. If you want to learn safe and defensive driving techniques and how to become a careful and conscientious driver, definitely choose Circle City Driving Academy.

My teenage son took drivers ed through circle city driving academy and 6 private lessons. The service was great, Mr. Dix and Mr. Wade gave excellent instruction and feedback, and I am confident my son is a better driver because of these lessons. Highly recommend!

Clyde is awesome instructor I had I heard his voice the entire time and pass one and done. Overall school was a good experience learned so much in a little time. I was stressed and thought I never could do it when I first started coming to this school but if I can do it literally anyone can.

Wes was very good at explaining how to move forward with jobs and responsibilities and Dan the yard lead done very well keeping everything together. 160 Driving Academy in Evansville has a great group of instructors and school rep. They will teach you what you need to know to get your CDL so long as you listen and follow their instructions. They are knowledgeable and support you through the entire course.
The curriculum is sufficient and informative enough that anyone should receive their CDL on their first attempt. My only concern is that they need more trucks so students get more road time and gear shifting experience especially if they have never driven a manual transmission. And each instructor teaches from their own opinions and views so techniques, rules, driving procedures, and information is not consistent from instructor to instructor. If you can effectively sift through the clutter of information and apply it correctly and ask alot of questions you should be fine. It's not a bad program...Just a bit disorganized.
160 driving academy was a wonderful experience, I highly recommend it to anybody. Would also like to give a shout-out to my instructor Chad who helped me along the whole process and got me where I needed to be to pass my test. If anybody out there is looking to get a cdl 160 is the right place to go.

I’m glad that I chose the right school to learn to be a truck driver. 160 is a great school starting off with Dwayne who really is good at what he does happy to have met him.Then with the instructors at the yard they are good they treat everyone equally each have their own method of teaching some may be a bit tougher on you but don’t take it personally.But personally the instructor that really taught like he loved this job was Ralph no complaints here he’s good showing safety, and to be a good driver and understand what they teach but with patience. Only thing I’ll complain about is that they need another instructor so everyone in the yard gets the time they need for their skills, roadtime other than that I’ll recommend 160 to anyone looking to be a truck driver.

I had a great experience with 160 Driving Academy in South Bend, and would highly recommend it to anyone in the area looking to get their CDL! I knew nothing about semis coming into this program, but thanks to the help of driving instructors Mike, Paul, Peter, and Spoon, I learned everything I needed to pass my test and receive my CDL. In the office, Dwayne always did a great job communicating and answering questions, and he made signing up for the class and scheduling the DOT physical a simple and easy task! Additionally, after graduating, Dwayne was happy to answer questions I had on future employment and provided a list of companies that hire new drivers. Everyone treated me like family here, if you want your CDL, you can’t go wrong with 160 Driving Academy!
From start to finish 160 driving academy what fun, exciting, and very helpful. I appreciate all the instructors Ralph, Pete, Spoon, and Mike they all put time and effort into helping me pass my test. Highly recommend choosing 160 it is the right choice to make.

I just graduated from the Indianapolis location and let me start this by saying, Overall my experience was overwhelmingly positive. I was on the fence about choosing this school due to some of the negative reviews on here but I'm certainly glad I went ahead and completed my courses and state test through C1 Trucking. As far as the negative reviews state, I'm not sure what any of them are talking about being forced to write good reviews or being rushed through the whole process. At the end of your graduation you have the opportunity to write instructor reviews and give your opinions about what could be done better at the school. In no way shape or form are you pressured to write positive things. Although, I will say I had nothing negative to say to begin with. My take away from the bad reviews is people who either did not graduate or failed to learn in the appropriate amount of time needed to graduate on time. However, I did have a few complaints but nothing major.; I had the opportunity to choose between the Hotel Lodging and driving up there everyday. I ultimately chose just to drive up there everyday because the hotel did look and feel very sketchy and it is in a very high traffic area. Another issue is class size, Your amount of time allocated to inside a truck practicing is highly dependent on how big your class size is. One thing I suggested was limiting class sizes to four to five individuals a week to ensure a lot of time is utilized in the truck for each individual. In their defense though, I did start at a time when one of their senior instructors was retiring and they were in the process of hiring a new instructor. So we were short one instructor essentially. But I think limiting class sizes has its benefits still. Ed, Jenny, Vick, Jeff, Delle are all excellent field instructors and deserve more recognition for being so helpful. I know how monotonous and stressful it is being a trainer and they handle it well coming in everyday and still manage to interact positively with everyone of us and help us every step of the way. If you want my honest opinion, I say choose C1 for your choice of school. The first day is a little over whelming because everyone is trying to get situated and enrolled and get all the paperwork done. However, After that first day it instantly started to feel so much more welcoming and an environment solely focused on getting you prepared to pass your CDL exam. I have made some good friends along the way of my graduation and met some great people here. I would suggest this school to my family, friends and anyone looking to start their adventure into truck driving. Thank-you C1 and all the instructors who went above and beyond to help us when we needed it.
Just completed my class A test today. I let the recruiter know to sign me up for manual. I went through 3 weeks thinking I was going to test in a manual. I got into the truck to do my first road drive and I let the instructor know that I was supposed to be in a manual truck. He said I was signed up for automatic on his paperwork and that it was too late to switch. I talked with the director about this and was told I either had to stay here for multiple weeks to complete my CDL in a manual or I could come back later and pay for a course there to get my manual. He failed to tell me I did not have to complete any course through a school to switch over to manual after obtaining my automatic restricted CDL, I learned I just needed to re test with the state to obtain the manual CDL. They are money hungry and very unorganized at C1. Somehow they screwed up my paper work and I was the one paying the consequences. I would absolutely not recommend C1 to anyone thinking about obtaining there CDL.
I highly recommend coming here if you are considering getting your CDL A. The school and instructors teach you everything you need to know before you take your test. I got my manual class A endorsement
Went there almost 11 years ago. Not complaints. Taught me what I needed to pass the CDL test, then you go with a carrier and learn real world driving! Most of the instructors that were there when I went have left.

So I've been driving with this school for the last month or so, and it has been great, now granted my folks did all the set up and what not, but my 3 instructors I've had so far at this location, Andrea, Mike Hayden, and Larry. Andrea was my first instructor, and she was great. She was my first instructor, she gave me advice and tips on my driving, and complimented me. I had Mike Hayden for 3 lessons, he is amazing, great instructor, very excited and talks to you like you've been his friend for years, in the car he guides me, and tells me when to change lanes, and what to do. Had him for my parallel parking lesson. That was fun!! I had Larry today. He's a good instructor, definitely knows what he's doing/teaching, though what he was telling me was like it was my first lesson, which is alright. But all 3 instructors I've had have been great, highly recommend this driving school, great instructors, great cars, and in a great location!!!
Everyone we interacted with at AA Indiana Driving School was kind and professional. My daughter had Drew as her instructor and had a great experience. He is a patient teacher, focused on sharing practical advice to keep her safe. Kent did her driving test and was thoughtful and communicative, which helped her feel comfortable. Would recommend this school to any parent who wants their child to have a successful driver’s ed experience!
This program helped me get my license! Brent Neely was my instructor and he’s such a life saver. At the end of one of my lessons, my mom’s car battery went dead, Mr. Brent gladly offered help and provided jumper cables to help start her car again! He’s very patient and vocal about the do’s and dont’s of driving. My mom will definitely be scheduling lessons with for the rest of my siblings, this has been a great experience!
Hands down the best decision we’ve made since switching from dial-up internet. Sending our 15-year-old son to AA Indiana Driving School was like handing the keys to a Ferrari over to a team of driving superheroes. From the first moment, their professionalism, care, and calm confidence made us feel like maybe—just maybe—our son wouldn’t end up launching a mailbox into orbit. The cars? Modern, spotless, and somehow still smelled like hope instead of sweaty teenage fear. The instructors? Patient, sharp, and clearly fluent in “teenager.” They taught our son not just how to drive, but how to drive well—and he passed his test with zero infractions. ZERO. We’re still in shock. Driving school is a big deal at 15, and honestly, we wouldn’t trust anyone else. If you’re even thinking about going somewhere else, stop, take a deep breath, and don’t. These folks are the real deal. Thanks again to the whole team—you made a terrifying rite of passage into something we’ll actually laugh about someday. (After our blood pressure stabilizes.)

I know there’s plenty reviews on here of people who don’t have many good things to say about 160, but overall my entire experience was smooth & effective. All in all the entire process from walking into 160’s recruiting office (August 8th) to the time I passed my CDL test (November 1st) took roughly 3 months. I was fortunate to enroll at the perfect time so I didn’t have to deal with extended wait times. The instructors were amazing, the information they teach is solid & you get adequate timing to accomplish everything. The only reason I’m giving 160 4-stars instead of 5 is because there seemed to be a shortage of space to train & I feel like there should be more lanes added so everyone can practice their maneuvers as much as they want. Besides that, 160 is nothing short of amazing & I can’t wait to start the next chapter of my life.

I have a question and will be reaching out through email or by phone soon...I have a question, but let me start by saying I learned how to drive at a very old age, like 26 I think and they did great and great experience learning to drive and never learned....I also forgot the instructor name but the day I went to take the test and passed it was his birthday. But I still do not know how to drive on the highway. Can they teach me that? I paid to learn how to drive so I'm just wondering
Both of my sons have been through this school and had very good experiences with the place. It helps if your kids have had at least some experience behind the wheel before enrolling them (if possible) but even without that, they do a good job getting your kids out and behind the wheel.
Very unprofessional. Pam was the worst instructor I ever met. Josh didn't care of his clients. So if you ever need a good driving school, please don't enroll in Safeway. Go to other driving school if you are seeking professional and kind people and will teach you driving the proper way. Safeway is very terrible! 🙄😔

Unbelievably rude staff. I called before I came to confirm their hours. I showed up to register my 3 students and upon entry the man at the desk was attending a woman and her daughter. He didn't acknowledge us as we walked in, but I fully understood that he was busy. After they left, he called out "next." I approached the desk and said, "hi, I called earlier today.." he interrupted, looked at me rudely and said, "Yeah, you were supposed to be here 3 hours ago!" I said, "excuse me?"... He then repeated it, and I said "you must have me confused with someone else." He then said, "well whatever... What do you need?"... At that point, I had had enough. I beckoned my kids and we left and will NEVER return! I couldn't believe how absolutely unprofessional, brash, and unapologetically rude he was. Just unbelievable. I would NEVER recommend this place. Absolutely unacceptable AND he NEVER apologized for thinking I was someone that I wasn't.

My experience with C1 trucking school was fine. The accommodations at holiday inn were very nice. The school was organized well and I believe they were all trying their hardest to teach us and had our best interest in mind. My favorite instructor was named Matt who was out on the range teaching backing up and reversing. I would recommend the school to my friends and will. Sent from my iPhone
I think the driver solution was good it's the best way to go if you want to get your CDLs as a student they had me updated on everything long as you go in and listen do what they say you will learn fast and you will go ahead and move to the next level it's a it's a good experience for me a new career also I I like the way they do things my mental I mean I'm a mentor but the person that's working with me they've already got in contact with me let me know how everything is going
My experience with Driver Solution's student coordinator, Brianna was GREAT from start to finish. She assisted me in any way she could and would call to check-in on me. Provided me with all required study material in a timely manner. She was considerate and very professional.

This is a great place to go to school I was recently released from the FBOP, and my whole time away I told myself I’m gone be a truck driver and when I went to 160 academy I was told I need over 5000 dollars so I googled trucking companies in Fort Wayne and I came across prevail not only did I feel at home I was also given a grant to help me financially Jose and Victoria Soto are good people and they are changing lives if I were you and I was looking to take up trucking would give prevail a call and at least weigh the options they the best in town omm💯❤️

The online classes will provided you with the information you need to pass to permit test and it’s very easy to use. BUT when it comes to scheduling drivings with an instructor, the instructor that came was very pushy with my kid. On their first drive they were driving on country roads and before the instructor dropped off my kid he said that the next drive they were gonna go onto the interstate. In my opinion I think that is quite a stretch. An instructor shouldn’t be this pushy and have any kid go onto the interstate so fast, they should be patient with any student driving. My son is currently enrolled and I highly recommend Dynamic Driver's Ed. Jenny and the other instructors are wonderful! She takes pride in making sure the students are prepared for the road while also providing a comfortable learning environment. Even with a full schedule, Dynamic Driver's Ed prioritizes each student individually, making sure they are road test ready when they complete their training. **Please note that despite what is mentioned in another review, the dynamic drivers ed website DOES NOT state anywhere that a road test is included in the course. It simply says that once you have completed and passed your driver's ed behind the wheel training and held a permit for 180 days, you can schedule a road test. There is no place that mentions this is included with the online course & behind the wheel training.

I thought they were very nice people. Until I decided that the once a month was not what I wanted for my daughter. She only drove once with them. I decided to go to a different school and asked for my money back. They said they would of course taking money for that one drive. Which I understand. They also told me they would cancel my daughters permit which I think is very vindictive I understand if I didn't sign up with a different school but I did that Friday.The prob lem is I asked for my refund Dec. 10th it is Dec. 27th and I still have not received my refund. Do not recommend this school.
*Edit* After my first review we were contacted by the actual owner who was a very kind and reasonable lady. She took the time to hear what my wife experienced and her concerns and listened well. At this point I'm unsure what steps may be taken to address the man acting like the owner who provided the experience listed below but I will revise my statement to say that the owner and the driving instructors that we had were kind and helpful for the most part. There appears to be some issues related to some of the management. Initial review: Very poor experience with this company. The man acting like the owner was very, very rude when we brought up a concern. He spent the entire time trying to defend his views without even listening to the concern. He refused to even answer the question and was highly immature in trying to just tell us that our concern wasn't a big deal. In addition to this, the lady that does the scheduling is not very helpful and as others have commented, they refuse to schedule out beyond the next appointment. The driving instructors have been kind for the most part but the management has been just awful. This is a poorly run business with a very narcissistic owner. I would highly recommend going to another company.
Mr. B is very nice. He can seem rude if you haven’t talked to him before, but he’s actually very nice when you get to talk to him and go driving.
Lovely staff and great quality instruction. My oldest child loved the experience and we will definitely be returning for her siblings!

My daughter had Gwendolyn Jackson as her instructor through CIESC. She was wonderful! We did have to wait a couple of months for an initial time to open up, but then it was easy to schedule with Ms. Jackson for all her lessons. She gave my daughter lots of practical advice, and focused on driver safety and awareness of her surroundings. My daughter felt very comfortable with Ms. Jackson because she was patient and calm.
Great customer service! I contacted CIESC to put my daughter's driver's ed on hold. They had my request completed and followed up with a voicemail and email within minutes.
Gwendolyn Jackson is the BEST!!! She taught my daughter so much and was patient and kind. If you need a great instructor definitely ask for Gwen!!
Instructor only periodically released his schedule, and all slots would book up by the time we checked. Instructor also cancelled 2 classes just days before because he was on vacation. Now we're +90 days out and need to pay for an extension to TRY and fit in the remaining classes.
My son had Mrs. Jackson as his instructor and she was fantastic. She provided him great feedback and many tidbits to carry forward as he begins this new journey.

As previously reviews have said, you cannot schedule drives. My son has been trying to schedule is drives for months. There is no availability no matter how often we have tried. No one is ever at the office and the phones go to voicemail with no return call. Do NOT recommend.
We have 4 kids enrolled. We can not get a drive scheduled or a return call or email. Do not waist your time or money. We are having to wait the amount of days and just go to the dmv to get there license. They should not keep enrolling students if they don’t have the drivers. After $1600 from my family alone this year and then to just have there drives closed and not responding to people is not how u run a business.

Do not schedule your appointment with Mr. Brown; he's very rude and emotional. He'll talk to you as if you owe him something. The people at BMV for drivers test is much nornal and won't belittle you for no reason. By the way, you're paying for a 6 hour drive, but each time they only drive with you for 50 minutes, so technically it's 5 hours.
Kids had a great learning experience here. Received permit immediately after and is putting what he learned into practice.
Price is a little high also scheduling for completing course is very poor and I feel like there not willing to do what it takes to help get matters resolved they want you to live on there website to see when teachers adds days totally unprofessional

My daughter just completed the entire course with the Geist Road Star Driving School and we couldn't be more pleased! From the classroom time, through the 6 instruction drives and even taking the Waiver test for her license, Amy and her staff were always helpful, professional and willing to help in any way possible. I was skeptical about going the driving school route, but after working with them for the last few months, I would have no problem recommending their service to anyone. We thank Geist Road Star Driving School for helping our daughter obtain the skills/knowledge to become a safe driver.

I've had a few questions throughout this process (BMV error) and have received an email back very promptly. I had called as I'm not big on email but the voicemail suggested email for faster response. It worked. Thank you for helping teach my daughter!

Highly don’t recommend. I was a student here a few years ago and the teacher/owner is extremely rude and unfriendly! When doing drive time with other students, when someone made even the slightest mistake he would choose to raise his voice at you and make rude comments and not even teach you what to do next time. I feel like I got nothing from this class and feel it’s a total waste of time and money.
Such a terrible place teacher repeats and repeats the same things over and over and you don't get to learn anything massive waste of half a grand and time
