I 1000% recommend this school to anyone and everyone! The instructors here at AKA hauling will teach you what you need to do and how to be a real truck driver. They will guide you in the direction of success! There is no fluff in what they will teach you, it is the absolute real deal! Speaking from experience, I went to a "popular" name school (NIT) at first, and they called themselves teaching the basics of truck driving, but consistently did not show up for scheduled classes, which lead students including myself to miss driving hours. AKA hauling goes above and beyond giving the tools you need. Please let this be your first and only choice, you will not regret it! Thank you folks so much!!

I signed up with AKA Hauling to upgrade my class B CDL to an A. Although it had been 15 years since my last CDL test, it only took one week to get me ready for my class A test. Big thanks to Coach, Derrick, Ishmael and the whole team. They made it easy each step of the way. I highly recommend them for anyone looking to get their CDL.

5 Stars – Highly Recommended! I took my CDL Class B at AK Halloween in Alaska and had a great experience. As someone with a language barrier, the instructors went above and beyond to help me understand and find ways to memorize the material. Tassie was especially amazing—patient, supportive, and always willing to explain things in a way I could understand. TJ, Mr. Jose, and Mr. Lenners, Kelly, were also excellent. The entire team was professional, knowledgeable, and truly cared about my success. I’m very grateful for their help!

I went through the driving school to get my Class B CDL for my job, and the crew here were great to work around my schedule as needed. The training was great, but my only note is that I had several different instructors who gave me different ways of doing things and conflicted eachother and claimed the other way was wrong, which caused some confusion, as well as a misunderstanding of how long the bus actually was. All in all, it all worked out, I passed with a really good score, and learned how to drive a bus with success, and I plan on coming back later on to get an upgrade to Class A.

Just finished my motorcycle class and I had an awesome experience. Both instructors (Matt and Kat) were incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and made the whole learning process smooth and enjoyable. They explained things clearly, gave helpful feedback, and really cared about making sure we felt confident and safe on the bike. I honestly couldn’t have asked for better teachers. Highly recommend this class to anyone thinking about learning to ride—five stars all the way!

I had a wonderful experience during my Basic Rider Course! Matt and Kat were wonderful instructors and gave me all the tools to feel safe and confident on a bike. The class was informative, well paced, and super fun! I can’t recommend this class and my instructors enough!

Took the beginners class with a friend, initially a decision that I made on a whim I always liked trying new things. In the end of it all, left feeling inspired, motivated, it’s a long road ahead, but I’m excited for what’s to come for my motorcycling journey. All of it wouldn’t have been possible without matt and kat, best instructors you could’ve asked for, and for the people I took the class with, I enjoyed every second of it riding with yall, hope to cross paths with yall on the road. Thank you guys I’m gonna miss yall!

I really enjoyed taking this class. It isn’t often that I look forward to learning, but this class was very engaging, informative, and fun. The class is very clear about the key concepts of driving. My teacher was very patient and helpful as I was learning to drive. I never became stressed or anxious while driving with her. I’m glad I took this class and I hope you do to.

I found my time here to be very beneficial. Both the zoom classes and the driving classes taught me details which I hadn’t known before, and helped me improve upon the driving skills I already had. I had Mr. Caesar as my instructor on all but one of my drives. He helped me feel comfortable and patiently pointed out the things I needed to improve. The instructors are all very nice and calm during the drives which was very helpful for me. The online class was also very informative on certain actions you should be taking while driving and the reasons behind those actions. I definitely think this course makes me more confident and comfortable driving.

Eagle River Driving School made learning to drive so easy and fun! The instructors were really nice and they helped me feel more confident with driving. I definitely felt like, without a doubt, I’d pass the drivers license test. Thank you so much!

We had a great experience with Eagle River Diving School. The instructors were patient and thorough in explaining driving techniques and the rules of the road. Would recommend to new drivers or drivers looking to polish their technique before taking their road test.

I sent my 16-year-old boy to the classes and skid car. I’m extremely happy with their professionalism and competent instructors. My son got his license at the end of the class. He continues to be an example of good driving behavior without any close calls/collisions.

I took the class and I am a teenager. I believe I learned some very valuable this class. The corse I took has possibly saved my life since I have been in a few skidds and this class gave me the right information for how to successfully get out of a skidd. Money well spent

The team was so responsive and amazing. The training was so in depth and educational. The multiple days of training made it easier to absorb all the information and remember it for my driving time. I had some special circumstances during my driving training and the team was so responsive and accommodating to that. Overall amazing experience with so much great learning. I highly recommend this program.

Truly grateful for Brian and Angie! I signed up my daughter, Tiara, for driving class, at first she didnt like the idea of going and would rather learn by herself and/or from us, but afterwards, she was very glad that she took the class. She told me that she learned a lot both in classroom and hands-on; Brian was an OUTSTANDING instructor and extremely patient with students. Safety is the primary focus throughout the class which I personally appreciated; they teach the class the correct and safe way to drive. I love Angie for her awesome customer service, very personable and professional. She's very flexible and really worked with us about scheduling. My daughter has been driving great, thanks to this Academy. She looks forward to the Skidcar class in October to help prepare her for whatever situations during winter driving. I highly recommend Alaska Safe Driver Academy to anyone who really wants to learn the correct way to drive taught by these exceptional, high quality and extremely knowledgeable professionals! Words can't describe how awesome the man in charge of this school really is. He has major respect and commitment for what he teacher's and passionately shows it off as he teaches in the class room and on the road. He's very serious about safety and explains the reasons behind the habits of safety. Not to mention his school is the only one in the ENTIRE state of Alaska that gives civilians the opportunity to train on a SKID car. He has told me about his journey to obtaining and bringing up this school, his past employment as an instructor for a different school, and all his hard work to have a space for SKID car training. He is very wonderful and his wife, who graciously works with him, is just as wonderful. The class is split into two four-hour days and then you have lessons. He works with all type of experiences and can get you a driver's test sooner than the DMV can (it does cost forty-nine dollars to take a driver's road test with them, but would you rather pay fifteen dollars for a waiting list?) They were able to give me a test two days after my last driver's lesson. Seriously, you have to choose this school. You won't regret it!

Great driving school. Very friendly instructors, very convenient that they pick up and drop off the students for road lessons. We got some great practice in on the parallel parking setup they have for prior students. Elder child passed her driving test today! We'll be signing up younger child for lessons here next summer!

I did a class here to get points removed from my license , the instructor is one of the best type of people you could have instruct a class like this , he was well spoken , very respectful, and knowledgeable about safe driving , he wants you to win not lose , can't say this about every body in the world but he's just one of those big hearted people that wants best for everyone in life regardless of your walk of life or any type of upbringing. 5/5 without the instructor they have the class wouldn't be the same in my opinion , he actually cares about students and driving safety .

Greg was a really nice person. I’m glad he was my instructor for the 4 days driving with him. We talked a lot and was overall fun/ informative. Would recommend this class to those who are looking forward to get the privilege to drive or learn more about it. Great experience with all the staff as well and Jason who took my road test with me.

Thank you so much for all the care you put into teaching me safe techniques on the road. :) I loved the whole process so much more than I ever expected. We had good laughs and great conversation and overall I was really comfortable working with the instructor. A few days after I passed my test (on the first try) I got my very own Subaru Outback! This was all made possible by the instructors at Be Smart Driving Academy.

Mr.Butch and his team are truly the best in town. I couldn’t imagine myself going with other driving school. I appreciate the fact that despite my age (older 😬) compare to other students, I had never felt intimidated of any kind. Butch is professional in every aspect and always feel comfortable during the 2 hour drive session. I definitely recommend them % 100! Thank you for your hard work!

AK Daniel Driving School helped my needs quickly and with quality. It was only a 1 day turnaround to schedule for a road test. They are open when the DMV is closed, and they are up-to-speed with today's communication (example: texting to set up appts). Thank you! I highly recommend this place.

I recently accompanied my 16-year-old son for his driving test, which was conducted during a period of heavy snowfall, at 3:30 PM—coinciding with rush hour. Despite the challenging weather conditions, my son was attentive to the road and prioritized safety, driving below the speed limit. To our dismay, the examiner failed him for not meeting the speed limit, which is 45 mph under normal conditions. It's important to note that during the test, a police car was following them, and at no point did the police deem it necessary to stop my son, indicating his driving was within safe parameters given the circumstances. I'm disappointed by the examiner's decision to prioritize speed over safety, particularly for a young, inexperienced driver facing the added pressure of inclement weather and the presence of law enforcement. This shows a disregard for the spirit of driving laws, which are designed to adapt to conditions and ensure the safety of all road users. I'm left with no other explanation for my son's failure other than his cautious approach. As such, I'm compelled to rate our experience with a single star. I believe driving assessments should fairly consider weather and road conditions, especially when dealing with young, inexperienced drivers.

I had a really good experience with this driving school. They were patient with me the whole way through and made sure I felt comfortable learning at my own pace. At the same time, they helped me pick things up faster than I expected, which gave me a lot of confidence. The instructor also shared some really helpful tips and tricks that made driving feel less stressful. I’d definitely recommend them to anyone learning how to drive.

I had amazing experience at AK Daniel. Whether it be their driving school or their DMV Tags and Titles. Would recommend to anyone. Get my tags done with them all the time and it is always a quick friendly service.

Took my driving test here on my birthday. Practiced and practiced yet failed on the parallel parking portion so was not able to continue. I was extremely upset and began crying yet the instructor continued to lecture me in my car on what I did wrong for quite a while instead of politely leaving. I felt horrible and it absolutely ruined my 18th... PLEASE DONT SEND YOUR KIDS HERE!

This is best way to have your child learn to drive! Every person with whom we worked was friendly, polite, and patient. My daughter had Bill for her instructor and he was absolutely wonderful! His calmness, encouragement, and positive attitude left her feeling confident and happy after each lesson. All aspects of the training were worthwhile and helped my daughter understand why drivers need to do certain things to be safe. Her success in completing the course and passing her driver's test with a perfect score were well worth the cost and certainly paid off in reducing the amount we are paying for her insurance. We could not have had a better experience anywhere! Thank you to everyone at Anchorage Driver Training.

in order to Take this Class there's a $100 Deposit for the class & then $560 for the rest of the payment. Once you get the reservation(which fills up FAST) it's held on a Sunday from 8-4:30. The Class is VERY informative & gives you A LOT of information to assimilate. Once the Class Part is Finished; your then taken out for 4 days; 3 days of Drivers Training (the 4th being the Actual Drivers Test). It's WAY!!!! More intuitive then just taking some DMV Test. You have different times in which to take these drivers Training and it's about 2hrs a Day. You have a Total of 24 Points that you score against. if you get less then 24 points you Pass. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND This Drivers Course.

Instructors are awesome. My daughter has learned a lot and now I feel comfortable riding in the car with my daughter. It was scary before she took this class and they have gone over everything with her.
