Deputy Carter was an excellent driving instructor! I used a different company on James Island for my older son and this experience was 100% better overall. I feel confident knowing my child was trained by Deputy Carter - he was encouraging, knowledgable, professional and professional. I highly recommend Deputy Carter and 911 Driving School!
911 Driving School Goose Creek was amazing for our new driver. Deputy Carter and Henry were the best instructors, not only preparing our driver for the road test but preparing them to be the best driver they could be. Deputy Carter and Instructor Henry made sure our driver felt comfortable in all types of driving situations and reminded them they will continue to learn once they passed their test. The website was very easy to use when scheduling drive time and the road test.
Deputy Carter has now trained two of our daughters and the instruction they received was top-notch. We wished we had used them for our first daughter and we will definitely use them for our son when his time comes. You will not regret a penny you spend with 911 Driving School because you will know that you or your loved one are trained by actual law enforcement officers. Dep. Carter was professional, thorough, and patient with our girls. Only use 911 if you are looking for the best driving school in the Low Country.
Highly recommend Deputy Carter for beginners learning to drive. I feel so confident they my Son was taught all proper skills during this course to safely be on the road without me in the car. In fact, I wished my older Son would have gone through this course instead of the one he took in another part of the state. Deputy Carter is very informative for parents of new drivers.
Deputy Carter was a great instructor. While driving he did a great job helping me not to repeat common pit falls. A lot of great information was given while in the classroom setting. While doing my drives with Deputy Carter I knew I was in good hands, and my safety would not be compromised. When I pass the road test with 911 driving school that felt like one of the most accomplishing moments of my life.

We can’t say enough nice things about Brian and our experience with DriveEZ. Two teenagers getting permits and licenses at the same time is a lot - stressful, to say the least ! Brian did a wonderful job, and helped make this experience an unforgettable one for us. I just wanted to take a moment to express my appreciation for all the guidance and support that Brian provided throughout my son's driving lessons. Sharon was my instructor. Going into this part of the day, I had never learned how to parallel park. After this was over I feel that Sharon did a very great job at teaching me and letting me do it as many times as I needed to get comfortable with it. I also learned to do a 100 ft backup, overnight parking, and a 3 point turn.
Sharon was my examiner. I felt so comfortable with her. I liked how she was always calm and told me that I could take all the time I needed. She also taught me everything before hand with my 6 hour drive that I did Monday. I would recommend anybody to do this program and do their driving test with them.
My instructor is Maya, my first 3 hours with this instructor was very good. She was very attentive, talkative, and enjoyable. She also nicely corrected me whenever I made a mistake. 5/5 stars for me.
Sharon was my instructor. She was very kind and patient with me. I felt very comfortable in the car learning from her and very prepared for my test.

I enrolled in school back in January and I just finished up today. I could’ve finished sooner but due to my work schedule I had to finish at a later date. And thanks to knights they were able to accommodate my schedule that was best suited for me. I’m now a better driver because of Knights and my confidence has went up tremendously.
My experience at Knights Drivers Academy was very amazing.. I have learn and gain so much knowledge at this school. The instructors really taught me a lot about the roads leading to my cdl. They are very patient and understanding.. On my journey to getting my cdl I have fail a couple of times and not one time did they give up on me they push me to be a more cautious and careful on the road. I never drove a stick shift in my life now I can operate a manual tractor trailer .. And for that I want to give a big thanks to Ryan and all the instructors at the school I really appreciate you all.
Best decision I made , other class were too busy and had bad reviews . Knights driver academy was very family oriented, understanding of a busy life schedule and very thorough when it came to explaining anything along the way . I would recommend every single person that’s looking for there CDL or regular driving licenses to give them a chance and obtain the same testimony as me
I moved from Georgia to South Carolina and had to redo driver’s ed. I took 8 hours in the classroom and 6 hours behind the wheel with Knights Drivers Academy. They made everything easy, and if you’ve had your learner’s permit for 180 days, I definitely recommend coming here!

We had an exceptional experience with these guys. The owner is super responsive and helpful. Getting drives was EASY, many time slot opening available. I also like that the Drive instructor was a woman. That felt safer sending my daughter off with a stranger. I am so thankful they made this so easy and FAST!
Had two teens at the same time signed up. We had Marla for 98% of our lessons. She’s awesome and my boys felt very comfortable with her and became excellent drivers under her guidance. Both passed with flying colors! Thank you Marla! 🫂 hugs

Fantastic service! I booked 3 two-hour sessions and the road test with them. Super easy to book with them and they have plenty of schedules available, so you’ll get your license fast! It was plenty of time to learn the maneuvers and practice general driving. Love the free pick up and drop off—I’m located in Summerville! They were super kind while also giving useful feedback. Ms Kelly and Ms. Pratt are awesome. Would recommend!

My son recently completed his driving lessons with EZ Driving School, and his instructor, Ibraham, was outstanding. Ibraham was patient, professional, and very encouraging. He explained everything clearly, gave helpful feedback, and really helped my son build confidence behind the wheel. What stood out most was Ibraham’s ability to make my son feel comfortable while also teaching him the importance of safe and responsible driving. Scheduling was easy, lessons were well-structured, and I always felt confident that my son was in great hands. I had previously failed my first driving test with another instructor, and instead of advice, I was berated on what i was doing wrong. I wanted to try a new place, so as a friend recommended, I tried out EZ driving. Ibraham was nice, would correct my mistakes, and allowed me to feel comfortable. Experience with Roadmaster was overall pretty positive for me. I honestly can’t say anything bad about any of the instructors. Mr. Orourke, was like that old school grunt like guy who dropped key knowledge that kept me focused. When I needed to pop my head from my rear, he’d ensure it. Being a veteran, I always knew what to expect from him. Mr. Sam, extremely passionate about what his block of instruction. Not only was he a thorough instructor, but someone I hope to seek out as a mentor. He was always on point, kept it simple, and made sure no one’s question went unanswered. He applied just enough pressure to create diamonds. Mr. Ken, and Mr. Brooks are the epitome of what calm and greatness looks like with an extreme wealth of knowledge between them both. They made things look simple as well as explaining things. It was simply amazing how he and Mr. Brooks made all the light bulbs go off in students heads. Mr. Joe was surgical behind the wheel and his instructions helped me pass the permit tests within 25 minutes one shot. Mr. Tony, straight professionalism and nothing less. I appreciate each one of you all.
PTI worried me the most because the amount of information in just a short amount of time. I was on the verge of giving up, thinking it was just too much to remember, but Sam got me right and it all just clicked for me. Then ended up moving on to the pad early because of him. I already drive for the military, so the pad was a breeze, all the instructors had really good motivation and they helped everyone in need.
So far at Roadmasters ive had a great experience. The PTI instructor, Sam was really great he gave really good pep talks to help lock in and focus on the endgame. He is able to help any student with any background to understand the material. He is very straightforward with you and will tell you when you have messed up and help you correct it. He loves what he does and cares about his students. I will forever be grateful for his hardwork and dedication.
Honestly had a great experience with Roadmasters. Really enjoyed my time there and the instructors here really take their time with you and are super patient! Special shout out to Ms Kelly, Sam, Grump, John, & most Importantly Mr Brooks!!! These guys know their stuff and won’t lead you wrong, Mr Tony was very professional and respectful & handled everything perfectly! 10/10 definitely recommend!
This course has challenged me on every aspect. When I was thinking about giving up, Sam pushed me and helped me navigate through PTI. He was more than an instructor but a mentor and father figure. He showed me things that I did not think I was capable of because I doubted myself. He never gave up on me and I'm grateful to GOD for putting him in this position. I am grateful to the school for the opportunity. This experience thus far has been amazing.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience with Advantage Driving. The staff was incredibly helpful from start to finish and helped my daughter feel comfortable with the driving process. Micah is absolutely amazing! He helped my daughter build her confidence and met her where she was.
I took my third-party road test and I was worried about the instructions because I’m still learning English, but my examiner, Micah, was super kind and explained everything calmly. After a few minutes, my nerves went away and I passed my test on the first try!

Advantage Driving LLC is a very great service and I am very much glad that I scheduled for the class and 6 hour driving courses. Marc is an amazing instructor! He focuses on what you need to improve on and does a very good job of building your confidence so that you can start driving on your own. He is very accommodating and reasonable. I highly recommend this driving school!

My daughter went through this driving school, and now she drives so well that even the DMV couldn’t catch her off guard — she passed a completely random retest with flying colors! The instructors are patient, professional, and somehow manage to make parallel parking feel less like rocket science. If they can teach my teenager to drive (and keep me calm at the same time), they can teach anyone. Highly recommend! 🚗💨

learn a new skill it is exited and sometimes stressful. At 37 years old, I couldn’t longer keep avoiding learn to drive, specially with a younger daughter. So finally I started the beginner training with Scott, he gave a great foundation and confidence. I took the wrong choice to test at DMVI , that let me with a bitter experience, a blank space cause they didn’t gave me a feedback about what I failed or needed to improve. So , I decided to give some time and recover my self confidence. I went back to JMDS and I took classes with Penny, she helped me to polish my driving skills and recovered my self confidence ( at that time just think about being tested give me anxiety). Penny is compromised on make of you an excellent driver. I’m so thankful to Scott and Penny. I keep them on mind each time that I hit the road. Thanks so much for your service.

I meant to post this a loong time ago but life got a little busy. Anyways, I wanted to write a review because I absolutely cannot thank this school enough. I'm an adult (22) and hadn't ever gotten my driver's license. I figured going to a driving school was the best chance I could give myself, it was expensive, but it was worth every penny. I had the most amazing, patient driving instructor (Mr. Raeford) He was lighthearted and never made me feel anxious while driving, and we even had some cool conversations about different types of plants and flowers. I decided to pay for an extra lesson with him and then took my road test. I passed my first try! I now have a beautiful car and my license. I feel safe and confident with the skills my instructor gave me and will always highly recommend this driving school!

James Island Driving School did a fantastic job teaching my anxious teen to be a safe, defensive driver. Completely easy and awesome experience using Mike to teach our oldest and first driver. Mike makes it super convenient picking up/dropping off for lessons. Our son was confident going into the test and passed on his first try. Thanks Mike, we'll be back with the next child all too soon!
My daughter just passed her driving test yesterday and we have Mike to thank! He is a very patient and encouraging teacher. He will come to your home to pick up for the driving lessons and meet at the DMV to go over what the driving test will look like. He is very dedicated to the success of his students. My experience with Mike and his business was nothing but positive; from the moment I dialed the phone number to the minute I smoothly passed my driving test. Mike teaches with a patiently thorough efficiency, I have only seen in a few others and his business proved to be a handy, educational resource. Mike’s calm demeanor and informative simple lessons/explanations really made conquering this skill possible, even at age 26 when everyone else around you has been driving for 10 years! I really felt Mike was personally invested in my success and safety on the road, ensuring I was familiar and comfortable with every inch of my vehicle before I got my license. I’d highly recommend Mike and his business, especially for teenagers first learning how to drive. Mikes patience and explanations really had me feeling like I was being taught by my own father, making the whole transition from passenger to driver much easier and smoother than I could ever hope it to be.
I literally just followed this car down 526 while it went 10 miles under the speed limit Ward left and right off of the interstate and into oncoming traffic consistently all the way down 526. I cut off at least three vehicles that I saw in the driver who was in the car by themselves no guest no passengers so I’m guessing it’s Mike himself held a phone up that I could see through the back window of his car and was turning his head to talk to it as he was swerving all over the interstate, I would not trust myself to train with this person. If my life depended on it, I would not trust my children to train with this person if my life depended on it clearly does not have a professional bone in his body when it comes to operating a vehicle and I can’t say for the life of me while he’s in this industry, but he’s clearly putting lives of himself and others at risk and that is not what I want talk to myself my spouse, my children or my other loved ones. This person should be ashamed of themselves the fact that this is their profession and they go out and disgrace themselves in this way.
I went to Mikes Driving Academy to get my licenses. The instructor is a really good teacher who will tell you the entire layout of the course of the driving test and all the maneuvers that you will be doing. He will adequately prepare you for the test so as long as you have lessons with him you should definitely be good and should have nothing to worry about.

Emily driving school is a great place to learn how to drive. I worked with Ms Sumter and She made me feel really confident behind the wheels. I was so surprised because I wasn't sure 6 hours of driving was enough to get me ready for the test. But she taught me the basic things that helped my confidence in driving. I just took the test and I passed it,. I recommend Emily driving school. And yes, it is very affordable :)
I am an international Customer belonging from India and I really have had a very good experience in getting my driving license easily as i already owned Indian license so I have given knowledge test at my own then decided to took their driving lessons. The overall process took just 7 days to get my license. I would like to recommend every International customer to take their guidance and driving lessons just to get yours license easily. Note: I have read the negative reviews too after my experience and I would like to mention that if you want to learn driving and a driving license then Emily is best for you she may be hard spoken sometimes to you but this is part of a lesson learned from a teacher. I am really happy to say that just go for this driving school in South Carolina.
Robert was a fantastic instructor, he made me feel very calm and relaxed while driving and was very personable. He prepared me for the test, listened to the questions I had and tailored the lessons to my needs. Emily was very friendly during the test which put me at ease, and I passed on my first attempt! Would definitely recommend to a friend.
All three of my children have attending Emily’s Driving School (one pre-pandemic). I personally have never had a problem with the service, but appreciate their commitment and flexibility with the students getting their on the road hours. I was nervous about teaching or even riding with my children when they first got their permit, but after completing this course, I felt extremely confident in their driving capabilities. THANK You Emily, Mr. Sumpter and your team for making these learning experiences a success.
Mrs. Emily is a fantastic instructor and a great conversationalist! She is excellent at explaining the rules of the road and essential driving skills. Her instructions are always specific and well-communicated. Her lessons are definitely a worthwhile investment because she genuinely cares for her students and prepares them well so that they can succeed. Most importantly, she is a great instructor as well as a great friend!

I assume the instructors are definitely not the type to be a good example of how to drive. Was driving down I-20, and had one of their red cars with stickers on it fly past me going 15+ over the speed limit. You can drive like that all you want in your personal car, but when your name is all over the car like that, it sets a bad example to the other drivers. Would not recommend sending anyone here to go through training, unless if you want them driving recklessly.
I had an absolutely amazing experience. This driver training school really is the best! They know how to make you feel comfortable and show you what it means to be a safe driver. They also go over anything that bothers you about your driving and help you improve. I’ve been learning to drive for a while and they made the process of taking my driver test straightforward and positive. I was able to get my license but this is a review about the way I felt throughout the entire session. I don’t write reviews often but this establishment is worth it! My teacher Cheryl was fantastic and I’ll never forget her kindness.
I highly recommend this driving school! Very professional. The entire process went very smoothly. The customer service lady was very nice each time she communicated with me. We purchased the 2hr lesson/road test for our teen daughter. She said her driving instructor Susan was the best! She spoke very highly of her. She gave her some great pointers and made her feel very comfortable. Thank you guys so much and we look forward to working with you with our other daughter as well in the future!
Please stay away! They are nasty and talk to you as if you not paying them! I called and told the pathetic lady that I was trying to schedule my child classes before time runs out! She says well I have to see if there are any appointments and hung clean up(no call back or nothing)! I called later and politely said I am calling back to SEE if I can make those appointments for him. Here so goes,” I warned you”! I instantly went off because you not going to tell me you warned me as if I am a child. Each time I called they were very nasty! Yes I did call her out her name and will do it again! Don’t disrespect me! (Response to the owner response) Yes I cancelled because my child didn’t get info right when we first signed up. It was only when we came to the class that we had to complete all that and I did agree. Secondly, my child never speed dialed you it was me using his phone. Thirdly, if you tell me you will see if they can schedule him I do expect a response back at the very least. Thirdly, the lady needs a coaching on her customer service relations! I had no problem with lost time it was the disrespect of your employee! That’s my whole argument here so please stop trying to rewrite my issue!
Baldwin was the best thing to happen to my driving experience. Reviewing stuff wasn't on my mind back then but I took the class in 2010 at 17. I had Ms. Leisa. She was amazing! Idk if she's still there but she instilled such a confidence in me that remains. I am the driver I am today thanks to her. She was extremely patient and kind. She allowed me to redo anything I felt I needed extra practice on several times. 12 years later, I'd recommend her to anyone. She also taught my gma a year or so later. We both received our license on the first try. Totally worth the money. Thanks again Baldwin!

They cancel appointments last minute and inconvenienced the parents and students. Beyond disappointed in this driving school especially when you paid all fees in full up front and can not get reimbursed to go to another reliable driving school!..Receptionist showed no care that it was unfair to pay for something upfront then schedule appointments in advance and cancelled out last minute. However, the policy for parents is (Please note, a minimum of 24 hours notice is required if you need to reschedule or cancel an in-car appointment or a $60.00 fee will be applied.) They don’t honor their own policy. In the event they cancel and reschedule!.. She did not even accommodate for another appointment, they expect me to keep my daughter out of school for next available appointments noting is on roster for after school hours M-F. Receptionist has an unpleasantly attitude and unacceptable demeanor! No customer service representative should talk down to paying customers especially when they’re in the wrong! Better Business Bureau will be notified…
When scheduling regular drives differently go with Louis Migliorino, he is absolutely amazing. I felt extremely comfortable and confident. He definitely made my experience at 911 a 10/10. I will say some of the staff can be a little rude and nonchalant.
Overall I had a great time, my instructor was amazing. But when it came to driving test, I had the most rude, woman ever. She was always making rude remarks during everything I did. I left in tears. My instructor and my family had no problems to my driving but when it came to her I did everything wrong. I know I failed because I messed up, but I do think her comments about my driving did not help at all. She got in my head and I messed up. When yelling at me at one point for being too close to the edge of the road and we were gonna flip..I wasn’t even that close, if anything I was closer to the middle of the road. If you ever have the front lady as your driver test person. Good luck.
My daughter had a great experience. Her instructor, Earvin Smith, was very professional and helpful. After taking this course, my daughter felt very confident and comfortable while driving, even in the interstate! The price is also reasonable, very good experience overall! I highly recommend it.
Terrible Intimidating Experience my student had today after attempting to complete the Driver’s Road test! After completing with a success the Driver’s Education course and Driving road side hours. She was given the ok by her normal Driver’s instructor the ok with a certificate to schedule soon for the Driver’s Exam. The assigned unknown “certified driver instructor” which he put emphasis on his credentials before taking the student out for the road test didn’t show fit to be an instructor for beginners young driving students that are experiencing driving for the first time. His demeanor during the road test was very intimidating, instructions very vague during the exam. Which caused confusion to the beginning driver student. The instructor was giving the student feed back during the exam of her driving errors and flaws before the exam was completed , which already made the student more nervous and driving confidence moral low for even wanting to complete the drivers exam!!! By the time I witnessed my student drive back into the drivers school parking lot.. I could see the Driving Instructor’s hands waving up and down as if to be scolding and reprimanding the beginner student!! This is not the experience any beginner driving student should encounter during practice driving hours or even at an driving road test!! Remember this should be a positive driving learning experience!!! Encouraging the minor student to be safe successful drivers! Not a drill SGT military drivers course !!! My daughter left the car of the instructor flushed red face and crying!! Student didn’t even want step foot back into the school with me to speak with the “certified driving instructor “! Instructor showed no concern or empathy towards student and proceeded in the building not even a motion to me the parent to come in for the results of the exam!!! When I entered into the school the instructor was on the phone for 10 mins showing no acknowledgment that I was waiting for a briefing on the results of my student’s driving test. I had to let the instructor know as the parent I would like to know the results of the exam.. to better prepare my student for a successful retake of the driving test in the future! Again the instructor showed no empathy during delivery of my students results. Interrupted me in mid sentence explaining my concerns as the parent. Abruptly quoted the schools prices for the drivers exam retake and prices for more driving practice hours with an instructor. As if the prices matter at this point after paying in full for the course and exam already! Then had the audacity to ask a personal question on who was the other parent of the student! Again this was terrible intimidating experience no minor student or adult should experience when learning how to drive or taking a road driving test!!!! I hate that my student had to experience this .. I had two students attending the 911 driving school!! I wouldn’t dare put my other student through this the driving exam experience! Remember this was supposed be a positive milestone experience for the student!!! Not a terrifying belittling moment and non encouraging milestone!! Definitely will not recommend this instructor to be assigned to any future beginners students to experience, especially a Driver’s Education Course and Exam that is not FREE! This should have been a positive impact experience for all beginners driving students! The unknown “Certified Driving Instructor” Mr. Jones FAILED this deliverance of representing the mission of the school positively for 911 Driving School !

She would be great if she kept her promises answered her phone and actually knew how to teach. I strongly recommend against this company. Unless you want to be over charged and not even get help to get your license like they say they will at least try to let you do.
