Thanh Pham is the absolute BEST driving Instructor. If there were 10 stars to give, I would ! I wouldn’t recommend going anywhere else. If you need a driver road test or any other services, this is the driving school to use. She was kind, caring and very patient with my daughter for her road test. Very clean and welcoming office as well. Her husband is also wonderful and very kind. We used the Driver License Division and it was an absolute DISASTER ! Save yourself time and a headache and just come here ! You won’t regret it ! I’ll be back in 3 years with my son ! Thank you C&T !

job placement? now I've completed the course, I can't get a call back. They teach you how to pass the test. it was actually a fun class. I paid out of pocket. I also paid out of pocket for my permit, medical card and was never reimbursed. I chose this course because it was closest to where I live. after2 weeks you go to 600 north. the classes end up being about 2-3 hours long. if these were all day like I thought, you could complete the course in a couple of weeks, not a few months. Victor and Alex were great. the rest, not so much.

I had a great experience earning my CDL. It’s a family-run operation, and that really shows—in the best way. They were flexible and attentive throughout the entire process, adapting to my learning style and helping me succeed. I always felt supported, and I genuinely enjoyed my time there. Every instructor at mountain west operates with patience and professionalism. Reid is a great instructor with exceptional knowledge and attention to detail. I made and appointment with this school to take my road test because of the reviews, and I don’t regret at all. I passed my test, today. The instructor was so nice, made me feel confident and calm. The receptionist, she helped me through the process, and they asked me if I wanted to take it in English or Spanish. So, it’s really helpful for Spanish speakers. I’d recommend this school all the time!!

Mr Eftin is an excellent teacher :) My performance while driving with him I know was not great. He anyhow informed me what I needed to know and what I missed calmly. But firm. Told me with facts, not judging or using rhetorical questions to make me feel bad. It was excited the first day and got relaxing after. I passed the road test and I gave him all the credits :)

Such an amazing instructor. Very patient, calm and friendly with his students! Never had experience outside a neighborhood before lessons with him and passed my road test the very first try after only 8 hours of driving with Daud! I HIGHLY recommend choosing him for private lessons or a road test. He is professional and can teach everything in easy ways to remember and learn. Huge Thank you Daud!

This instructor is very good. I was a complete novice in driving and he really takes his time to make sure you understand and can actually do each maneuver correctly. I recommend this school for anyone who really does want to learn how to drive in Utah!

I can't say enough good things about School salt lake driving school I passed my driving test and got my license, but it wasn't without a few bumps in the road. I actually failed the test twice before finally succeeding, but the instructor was so patient and supportive. He really helped me work through my weaknesses and build my confidence behind the wheel. I learned so much more from my mistakes with their guidance than I would have if I'd passed on the first try. Highly recommend this driving school to anyone looking for quality instruction and a positive learning environment!

We have put 3 sons through drivers Ed with Wright, one via the online course and 2 via the live class. We liked live better because of the hurry-up-and-get-it-done aspect, but both were great. Driving sessions were SOOOOO easy to schedule and conveniently located for anywhere in the Salt Lake Valley. Staff was very responsive to text line. Road test that they recommended was much less picky and stressful than other road test agencies we tried, though you do have to schedule the road test a couple weeks in advance, which is why we tried other agencies in the first place. My boys are good, safe drivers, well versed in the rules of the road and in techniques, although obviously that mostly depends on having a good parent teacher and those 40 hours of parent instruction. There’s no substitute for hands-on practice with Mom or Dad coaching, so don’t abdicate on your own responsibility to instruct your son/daughter. But I highly recommend Wright to get the administrative part of driver ed taken care of in the most convenient, least expensive way.

Way to Go! Wright Driving school is superb. The driving Curriculum was an excellent course and easy to Navigate. I had a well knowledgeable instructor Jacob S. who was so detailed in explaining the road skills and maneuvering everyday driving experiences on the road way. He was patient and made me feel comfortable and confident to become a great driver. Thanks to Jacob I successfully passed my road skills test today. Yay!

I’ve been working on hourly CDL training with Apex Trucking, and they’ve been nothing short of fantastic. The instructors are kind, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable, breaking everything down clearly and making sure I truly understand what I’m doing. Their hands-on approach builds real confidence, and it’s clear they genuinely care about their students’ success. And Makenzie in the office has always been such a charm to talk with. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality CDL training.

Great school, great people, great experience, they make you feel welcomed and comfortable! Billy, Alex, and Richard great Instructors full of experiences. Easy going and very understanding Instructors. Would definitely recommend this school for anyone that’s Beginner or even if u know mild knowledge for trucking they work with u on that behave.

Get in and put in the work. The staff, from the receptionist, the instructors to the testers, Do their job. Do yours and learn and they will help you out. They teach you solid fundamentals because that is what you need in the field.

My experience with this school was amazing! My instructors “Paul,Richard,Billy and Alex” were great instructors. Paul took the time to find tune my driving, came in early to help me and more importantly he encouraged me every step of the way! Become a good trucker even thanks to Apex, after the school I started to drive immediately as a company driver. Was their care and tips I never had an issue. I highly recommend Apex for the quality, the integrity and honesty of the entire group. Try hey teach you only how to drive, the regulations and the practice of how to this and that The real challenge is to deal with companies that want to hire you. Pretty dishonest and bully. Remember always what your instructor said when you have an issue, the truck is supposed to not leak exhaust in the cabin, so buy a carbon monoxide sensor and if it alarms during the job ir the idling, don’t think too much, put the truck out of order, call the company and if they starts to makes stories drive til the next shop, say NO. Call the DOT and let them know that the company pretend you drive in violation. If you don’t do this, the company will retaliate and put in the black spots. Companies are not families, are commercial entities that don’t care about you driver. Don’t be fooled by great words. Money is money , words are words. Protect yourself, you are alone while driving, only you are the one who cares of you.

Scheduling is difficult and challenging but we like Chuck! Make sure your instructor is Chuck and not Matthew F. Chuck is very thorough at teaching and has also taught my oldest daughter, 10 years ago. My 16 year old is impressed but was disappointed while observing Matthew today. He ended 30 minutes earlier so she had to call her sister to be picked up (I’m relieved she was able to) because the driver was afraid to go on the freeway on her first day. She said it was like driving with a buddy and he wasn’t educational nor persistent. She felt sad for that girl. We think that if they can’t do a task then have them do another one like work on parking or turns instead to get their time and money’s worth. Chuck teaches the whole time and has them repeat the assignment until they are comfortable. My girls talk highly of him and he finishes on time so you don’t feel like you’ve lost your money. It’s a great school concept but the scheduling is lousy. Not sure what other instructors they have but Chuck is our favorite!

Sorry to say they don’t deserve 1 star also, I came all away from California to Utah but my bad luck I wasted money, after 1 week stay in a hotel snowfalls cancel the appointment and then I failed as a 3 months learning from school. They just earning money 1 time fail is 300$ nice trick for earning money, if you pay money you’ll pass but I m not gonna pay any money because at least I have knowledge and self confidence I’ll pass from other Dmv, I really wasted my very important time here days never come back

I believe that the classes have been vital to information and knowledge needed to prepare for the roads - the instructors are great with drives. Unfortunately I was appalled to pay $320 and go to an office that looks very rundown inside. I was charged $50 for not making it to a drive (understandable) but one of the instructors uses student driving time for a break and doesn't come out to the car until 15-20 minutes later. My apologies, but shouldn't I be getting $20 or something for my time wasted? Especially after paying over $300 I don't have? The instructors demand you are early or on time and yet they are always late most of the time. I believe in living the expectation that you are setting - and they do not live it. I hope and wish A-1 has enough money, with the hundreds of thousands of dollars they receive, that they can AT LEAST get chairs that actually have a cushion. Sitting two straight hours on a metal chair is highly uncomfortable in an already run down office that can use a fresh coat of paint for in-house classes. It is obvious that there is a lack somewhere within the company and the instructors deal with it, rather than getting to enjoy their job in helping students. I truly hope A-1 gets their business together. I feel bad for the instructors. Thanks!

The instructors in the school are all amazing in that they keep track of your progress. You will get a personalized coaching experience throughout the drives. The classes are also very helpful to know the rules. I just pass the road test thanks to the A-1 Driving School today!

I passed my driver's test. But it had nothing to do with the crotchety old hags that "teach" here. They had weak service and kept telling me the wrong dates.

Margene, was the only decent driver my son had to drive with, she helped him out a bunch.. and the Draper location worked with us so well.with The testing, part... highly recommend..

So Two weeks in advance I schedule and pay in full for my driving lesson. I show up for my scheduled time they told me over the phone. I was told to have a seat and they someone will come get me. After 30 minutes of waiting I ask how much longer only to find out the instructor has left for the day. I was charged 200$ for them to forget to schedule me amd then I am told I have to wait another two to three weeks when they have another opening. No thanks I will be asking for a refund and find a company who can handle penciling me in without forget to do the simple task.

I wish I had read the reviews here before taking a driving test with this lady. I went here upon recommendation of my driving school instructor, which was a major mistake. I have practiced about 16 hours behind-the-wheel at varied speed limits across the city [20MPH, 30 MPH, 40 MPH, 50 MPH (on a state highway)], can effortlessly do lane changes, U-turn, Three-point turn, backing up. I have practiced driving while it was raining too and returned home safely. I have thoroughly read the UTAH Driver handbook inside out and can explain rules clearly. Yet, this lady has failed me in the driving test for silly unbelievable reasons such as not yielding before making a U-TURN when there was no car in the opposite lane to YIELD! Her reasoning was - IF there was a car, IT WOULD HAVE hit. BUT there WASN'T a car! 1) It seems she is nit-picking reasons to fail and earn more money. 2) The car is very old and unclean. Not well-maintained at all, so bit of a mood deterrent when you are already anxious about the test. 3) One is already nervous during the driving test, and she creates an environment that exacerbates one's nerves. It leads a person to make mistakes, even if they are the best ever driver in the country. Please save your money and find a better place to test your driving skills. I gave my road test at ALLIED DRIVING SCHOOL and passed on the first attempt. The instructor/examiner is pretty good and helps calm nerves.

This was AWFUL. She told me to do a U-turn at a double yellow line, and she said I didn't look both ways when pulling out of a road. I know that I did. And she has a really old car with squeaky breaks. I also couldn't understand what she was saying. Then when we went over why I failed she said I was supposed to pull into the "middle lane" and do the turn. There was NO middle lane. It seems like she's doing it for money. She gave me 70% and said to call her again and that I would have to pay again. Do not go here.

Do not go here if you need to take driving test. I feel like she want more money from you. She let you fail more then 2 times. That’s okey for me but the problem is she’s kind of rude, showing attitude during taking test and action like a boss. And also no respected at all.

Man I wish I had read the reviews! My daughter was sent here after passing the written test at another driving school, we didn't realize it was a completely different business. Pretty much she failed for all the same reasons others have stated, no head check blah blah blah, also oddly she got marked down for not stopping before crossing a train track ( no train coming) it's not like she was driving a bus so not sure where that came from?? Anyone ever heard that you need to make TWO full stops at a stop sign? Is that really a thing? Dear miss Kim also marked her down for not accelerating while she had her own foot on the brakes! Save your money and go elsewhere. Very poor excuse for a business and surprised they are even still open.

She will fail you the first time so you come back and pay her another $45 i have been driving since 6 years now and she failed me on head checks the first time?!?! Half of time i did not understand what she was saying and while driving she jammed on the brake on her side(on an empty road!!) And on top of all that she was not wearing a seat belt. Will not recommend
