I recently moved to San Francisco from the UK and needed to get a California driving license. I contacted Coco about potentially having a lesson or two and to utilize her car for the driving test. Coco was excellent from the start of the process. She said (correctly) that as I learnt to drive in the UK that I probably wouldn’t need any lessons, so I just booked the test package which includes an hour of driving around the test location to get some familiarity of the roads. Coco pointed out specific locations to be wary of as well as correcting some of my bad habits that everyone picks up when they have been driving for years. When we arrived at the DMV, there was a 2 hour wait for the test; Coco did not mind and waited with me the whole time. Coco even gave me some food and water to make sure I wasn’t hungry during my test - incredibly kind of her. When I finally took my test I felt very prepared and I passed first time. I cannot recommend Coco enough!

Coco is a very attentive and dedicated instructor. She fully understands my driving situation and patiently corrects my mistakes, helping me successfully obtain my driver’s license. I highly recommend Coco!

Drove with Coco for 3 lessons and little did I know her great knowledge and support in learning how to drive allowed me to pass at the San Francisco DMV on my very first try! Many thanks to Coco for always being a joy to have in the front seat whether it be for tips and analysis of my driving or if I just needed a mint to keep me alert on the road.

Coco is a great instructor, very accommodating and friendly. We only spent a few hours together as I had previous experience driving and just needed a few pointers on the differences driving in the USA, our brief lesson was a pleasure, she showed me around the neighbourhood and some of the roads the test takes place on to familiarise myself with them and talked me through the testing process. Every lesson with Albert is money well spent, he taught me how to park properly with patience and did not yell at all. He understands his students well and aims to improve their weaknesses in their driving. I really enjoyed every lesson I had with him and will recommend anyone that needs a Driving Instructor! My son took lessons with Albert upon the recommendation of a friend and passed the license test on his first try. Albert was responsive, and was available at short notice for several of the lessons. Jordan was driving on the freeway by his second lesson. After the first two lessons, I could see that my son was driving safely-and he ended up driving on some of our road trips (with his learner's permit), such as from San Francisco down to Southern California. Over all, Albert was a great instructor and as parents we would recommend.

Albert is super nice and helpful. I had tried other schools and lessons in the Bay Area but none were as professional as Albert, he explains things very well and is great at teaching. I passed on my first try and will definitely take more lessons with Albert as he makes me feel more confident driving on California roads. He makes sure to help resolve any bad driving habits and is the best driving instructor I ever had!! I struggle with the DMV test before having Albert teach me!!

Albert is both patient and professional, providing a great experience in his lessons. He is familiar with the standard routes the SF DMV uses for their driving tests and provided great direction on what to do and what to look out for when taking the test. After just a couple of sessions with Albert, I was able to pass the driving test on my first try, confidently and comfortably.

Just moved over to California from Canada & had to go through the driving tests here again. I used Jeddy’s help in getting prepared for the test. Overall I am very happy with the service, the lessons provided and also the fact that we could choose to use Tesla for the purposes of driving tests. No complains. 5/5 experience

Jeddy is the best instructor I had so far. He’s really dedicated, fun, and patient. He taught me lots of things that my previous instructor didn’t. Thank to him, I could be able to pass the driving test at the first time which really surprised me. Also, he was always professional while teaching. Jeddy is an excellent instructor. He paced each lesson to efficiently optimize my progress and provided timely feedback on where I need improvement. Additionally, he celebrated each of my victories with me to help build confidence when I felt unsure. By the time I took the driving test I felt very confident in my ability to pass the test. I started with no prior experience in driving and completed the driving test on my first time.

Coming from no driving experience to passing the driving test on first try to becoming a confident driver, I throughly enjoyed taking lessons from Confident Driving School. Had so much fun learning from Jeddy. Jeddy was very fun to talk to, and felt like we’ve been friends for many years. His lessons were very efficient, thorough and he made sure to instill safe driving habits in me. I HIGHLY recommend taking classes with Gerald! I hadn't driven on main roads/highways much before. Gerald instantly is able to spot your weak points, and helps you practice the right technique till you get it right! He teaches everything very methodologically, and helps you get confident! I really appreciate the patience and support he showed from start to finish. I was able to pass in my first try :)

I haven’t been driving for more than 10 years. Recently I moved to US and needed driver’s license so I reached out to Gerald after reading good review. Originally i wanted more lesson, but after seeing me drive, Gerald told me 2 lesson is enough and he doesn’t want to waste my money or my time. And he was right, after 2 lesson to build confidence and get familiar with driving again, I did the behind the wheel test on the 3rd time and passed!!!!!! I really appreciate him consider his students’ level and not just trying to get more lesson, he showed me everything during our 2 lesson including what I lack of, and it was enough for me to get on road again. I highly recommend Gerald!

Gerald is an amazing instructor especially for new drivers, he gives you his advice based on his experience and the observations of your driving skills. He calms your anxiety and builds your confidence on driving. He is also very honest with you about when you are ready for a road test. Before that he teaches you how to make turns, drive on freeway, line changes and park the car and so on. Choose Gerald you won’t regret!!! I passed my test at first attempt.

Gerald is a top-notch driving instructor who knows his stuff. Despite having little-to-no driving experience beforehand, it only took me a few lessons before I was able to pass my behind-the-wheel driving test with ease. He'll make sure to address and correct your weaknesses with precision without any sugarcoating. I highly recommend taking him if you seriously want to become a better driver. 👍

Emilio is a great instructor, very professional, patient, and will make you feel at ease. As a new driver, with no driving experience i was very nervous but i was able to learn quickly because of Emilio. He is very patient, calm, cool and collected. And when you make mistakes he is really there to help you improve your driving skills. He is not like other driving instructors who are intimidating and get frustrated when you keep making the same mistakes. he is very accommodating to his students and will work with your schedule, and always arrive on time. I highly recommend Rivadavia Driving school, on your first lesson Emilio does an evaluation and from there he tells you how many lessons you may need. He will practice with you until you improve and also help practice the driving routes done on the dmv driving test.

If I could rate more than 5 stars I would. This school is exceptional. My driving instructor Javier is amazing. I have not only learned to drive and passed my driver's license, but he provides tools to be a good driver and most importantly to be and feel safe as a driver. Thank you Javier for your patience for always remaining calm and for being so professional. Also, the school provides great package deals, I definitely took advantage of these deals. Everyone is so nice, professional, and always respond quickly. All to say, I 💯 recommend this driving school and to have Javier as a driving instructor.

This is an incredible driving school!! I am 25 years old and from the UK. I have never had a drivers license and I have always been very nervous learning how to drive in the US. I took 6 lessons with Yan Carlos. He was the first person that made me feel comfortable and confident behind the wheel. He taught me how to be a safe, defensive driver. He was extremely patient, positive and knowledgable. I really enjoyed my lessons with him and I would highly recommend him as an instructor. I passed my test last week on the first try and could not have done it without Yan Carlos and the Rivadavia Driving School, thank you!!

Estoy muy contenta con el servicio que dan, tuve la oportunidad de recibir clases con Don Emilio es una persona agradable le da confianza a uno, son excelentes sus instructores también Yeancarlos y Javier. Tuve clases con Javier un joven con mucha paciencia, a pesar de su edad, serio y seguro de mi que iba a pasar el examen a la primera y así fue, agradezco por la confianza que le dan a uno. Me quitaron el miedo. Hoy fui al DMV hacerme mi examen de manejo me acompaño Javier, y salí contenta que pase el examen a la primera. I passed my behind-the-wheel test at the DMV Claremont on my first try! Big thanks to Bay Pass Driving School and my instructor, Mr. Rock. I only took one session with him, but it helped me so much. He was super patient and explained everything clearly. His tips made me feel confident and ready for the test. Totally recommend Mr. Rock and Bay Pass Driving School.

I learned so much, and had such a fun time! Kahn and his steps to parallel parking made it less stressful and easy to remember how to park perfectly every time. Really calm and funny environment, so happy I did behind the wheel through this program.

Mr. Khan is a very nice, funny, patient teacher. He also teaches you how to drive and park in a very easy simple way. Mr. Khan 2.0 is also a great driving instructor.

I was instructed by Connie Wong, who was an amazing teacher that helped me easily pass my driving exam. She was always on time, in a good mood, and was fun to talk to. Knew the rules of the road very well, prepared me for the specific test I would be taking. Absolutely fantastic instructor.

Ann's driving school is an excellent resource for senior drivers who would like a refresher course before taking their DMV driving test. Connie Wong was prompt at picking my dad up, spent two hours lesson reviewing rules of road and driving the DMV course (2x) with him. Connie took the time to call me after the lesson to give me feedback. The office is quick to respond to emails. Highly recommend

Juan is an experienced driving instructor, who is invested in the success and safety of his students. I passed my driving test on the first try with a 96 score. I have invested a good amount of driving classes since learning the right driving skills is more important than just hacking your way to passing the test. Juan was always on time for the lessons, and it was easy to schedule. I had personal circumstances, which he accommodated even though it was inconvenient at times. We practiced some more on the day of the test, and he put my mind on the right track and at ease. I felt very supported and guided throughout the test structure. Most importantly, Juan helped me overcome nervousness around driving and gain confidence. And a bonus point it's a lot of fun talking to him :-) I highly recommend his services!

Juan is the best! He has 40 years of experience teaching people how to drive and definitely has a no-nonsense attitude which I love (and is hard to find nowadays). He helped me prepare really well for the test and I passed on my first try! Just trust him and follow his process and you will be able to drive, safely and responsibly. He showed me parallel parking once and drew a diagram to explain his rules, then boom, I was able to do parallel parking on my first try. Definitely recommend Juan for those who want to learn! Like some of the other reviewers on this page, I didn't think I would pass after a month of driving (I was planning to practice all summer before taking the test). At age 25, I was getting desperate to get some good classes and finally get my license, especially after learning nothing at another driving school in the past... I can now say that after a month of taking classes with Mr. Guerrero, I am a licensed Californian driver!! I took about 8 classes with him, which is more than the average 6 that some people need, but he really helped me hone my skills and pick out any bad habits I had developed from the previous driving school I went to. He is an excellent teacher who sets high standards for his students. He takes his job very seriously and wants to make sure that he is releasing safe drivers out on the road. In a sense he saves lives! I feel like I am a very safe driver from learning from him! He will grill you on mistakes you make and tell you about them consistently. He expects nothing less than perfect driving from his students and that is what gets you to pass the test! He does like to talk a lot about a wide range of topics and listen to the radio. This is helpful because you learn to drive when there are distractions. When you take the test there are no distractions from the examiner, just focusing on the road, making it so easy to pass! Also I found his jokes and stories helped make me be more calm and at ease while driving. Truly an amazing man who has been training people to be safe drivers for a long time!

I took refresher lessons to get familiarized with left-hand drive. He prioritizes safety and is generally funny and jovial guy. As with any instructor, leave your ego when you enter the car, admit mistakes to work on and you will learn.

Juan is a good teacher with a lot of experience, he not only taught me how to pass the test but learning how to drive safely. He will tell you what you do well and what to improve, he is talkative with good sense of humor. I strongly recommend!
