I had an incredible experience with this driving school. From being initially terrified of sitting behind the wheel to passing my driving test on the first attempt, the journey feels surreal. I took 3 classes and they were incredibly helpful — each session was structured, patient, and focused on building real confidence behind the wheel. I had 8 hours of driving with Nawaz before passing the test on my first attempt. He is a calm and patient instructor who always showed up on time for lessons. He seems to have the map of all the local roads in his head. Overall, the learning experience was excellent. I highly recommend Nawaz.

Nawaz is an amazing instructor. He has a calm demeanor and is very knowledgeable about the road. I remember my first lesson with him; I was nervous with absolutely no experience driving. By the end of my lesson with him I had complete confidence and was able to properly drive. One of his standout qualities is his patience. No matter how many mistakes I made or how many times I needed to practice a particular maneuver, he remained patient and supportive throughout. He didn’t rush me or get angry at all. I would 100% recommend him to anyone interested.

Highly recommended. I took classes and this is my experience. I was scared to drive on my first class, after 1 hour of my first class, I felt confident of being able to atleast drive the car in traffic. Then I took more classes, and started becoming better driver. I recently got my license just because of this driving school.
I had my first lesson today with RN and he is an excellent instructor! The lesson was great and easily understandable. RN was professional and extremely patient! He also cracks really good jokes and makes the lesson really fun! Can’t wait to finish my next two lessons with him!

Mr. Javed is a very knowledgeable driving instructor and guides students with a lot of patience. He is very accommodating with change in schedules. I could not have passed the test without his support and guidance.

Javed uncle is one of the very hardworking, punctual, honest instructor I have ever met. He is experienced and knows how to cover the lessons in such a way it benefits you. All the lessons that I learnt were very beneficial and I was recommended by my friends who also took lessons from him. In Bay area he is one of the finest driving instructor. They are the best in the area. I went there 3weeks ago and today I passed my test i am now a class a driver. The instructors are really helpful. If I would have known sooner about them I would have gone here instead of going to another school to get my class b license. I highly recommend them.

Never schedule a driving lesson with George as your driving coach. This guy has no credibility. He fails to respond to phone calls and even misses confirmed appointment. I have never encountered a more negligent driving instructor.

I have passed my Behind the wheel test today , George is my instructor. He is an excellent instructor , very patient , explaining the points crystal clear. Whoever reading reviews to select the driving school for bwt practice can go with Oxford Driving school blind folded. Thanks George , you are a Gem.
I failed the California DMV behind the wheel test twice before after taking lesson from a different school. I was desperately searching for instructors and driving schools to pass the test third time otherwise I had to repeat the entire cycle. Then I came across Susan from Oxford, I called Oxford and requested for an availability adhoc within 30 min and Susan was available at that time. She instructed me in Santa Clara's roads where there are some specific type of roads which I don't find in Palo Alto. She started explaining from basics by showing the way they scoring maneuvers and critical errors happen. Later, we went in the city roads to get familiarize and it was super helpful because I learnt a lot in this lesson. And guess what, the next day I finally passed the test and I am very happy about it. I'll certainly recommend Susan from Oxford if you have your driving test anytime soon.

As a parent, I appreciated the email feedback with the information on what he is doing well and what he needs to work on. Carrie was a calm and straightforward instructor. I will definitely use this driving school for my other two boys.
I moved from Canada and had to do a road test to get my California license. Bay Area Driving Academy had the best deal for the Test Day Assist, most other places charge a lot more. David is a great instructor and I felt really confident after 20 minutes of practice with him. The DMV was really backed up but the time went by fast chatting with him.
I relocated from India and just passed my driving test all thanks to Scott! He's patient, friendly and knowledgeable about all things driving, safety, and test day tips. The assessment notes and feedback I received post our session was very helpful. On test day Scott arrived a little earlier than the scheduled appointment and we had some time for last minute practice as well! 110% recommended.
Wow. Completely blown away with my experience and the lessons I received. I drove and was taught with/by Carrie, and other members of my family have been taught by them too. The lessons were fun every time. The first day Carrie took me up to the mountains, and had me driving on big streets. It may seem daunting, but Carrie picks up well on the ability of the driver. The lessons following were just as fantastic. A huge part of what makes this company awesome is that they have genuine care for the people they are teaching. Carrie has worked with drivers of many different skill levels. If someone is uncomfortable or scared with the idea of driving Carrie would definitely help. I could have taken my driving test after the required number of lessons, but I had an extra to help and I think it genuinely did. Surprised to see some of the other reviews having trouble with communication. Carrie would text me before lessons, telling me they are coming, and I could also take the initiative to text them and ask if they were on their way, which I would receive a fast response to. Another cool part of this company is the lesson summary, that gets emailed after every lesson. It tells you how you performed on the lesson, and recommendations and comments on what to practice and improve Overall an extremely positive experience. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to learn to drive or review their driving skills. Shoutout Carrie!
My adult son just passed his driving road test yesterday. I've booked my son for 6 hours adult driving lessons with instructors Leroy and Forrest. In addition, my son took a 2 hour "Pre-Test Preparedness Course” with Instructor Forrest and she really boosted his confidence. The Bay Area Driving Academy's 5-CORE COMPETENCIES Assessment was really helpful for my son to know what he needs to work on his own time. Both instructors Leroy and Forrest were patient, friendly and knowledgeable about relaying safe driving and road tips to my son. I also want to give a shout out to Jenny at the office for being efficient on rescheduling us when things didn't work out as planned. I highly recommend learning with Bay Area Driving Academy.

I had three lessons with Max and I passed the driving test today at the very first attempt! I learned a lot about how to drive safely, and all the tips on the driving test were very helpful. I highly recommend this driving school.
Max is an excellent teacher. Always very relaxed and calm. Never yells at you for making a mistake, instead corrects you by showing the right way. He knows the city routes and streets very well. He will make you drive around the city to improve your skills and confidence. After taking classes with him, I passed my driving test in the first attempt!!! Highly recommend him if you never drove before or want to improve your driving.
Max was great for our son (18+). We were not able to teach him ourselves. It took him 4 weeks intensive lessons from 0 to driving license ( passed first time). Easy online schedule was very helpful and Max was always on time for the appointment and very responsive.

I have taken 2-3 classes with Max recently and apart from what I have experienced, Max had provided very useful tips. I had passed my driving test for the first time, because I was able to get the full awareness, focus, and even confidence from Max. He went beyond what was required for the driving test by explaining tips and mentioning useful situations that are not even experienced on the driving test!

I had to find a driving school for my kid and I was a little worried about the big name schools as I was told that instructors are a hit or a miss. Got Hassell's name through a referral and I couldn't be happier. He was very accommodating as we wanted to get the first session before the l holiday season. The feedback was spot on, about what was good and what needed to be addressed. His tips to address the mistakes were very helpful. He went longer than the appointment time to give his feedback. My kid was a little nervous driving before the first session with him and immediately after the first session, I could see the confidence boost. There was a distinctive improvement in my kids driving ability after each and every session with Hassell.
Just got my license in mail, and want to leave a review. Found this school by chance after I failed my first DMV test, and passed after took lessons with this school. Here is a few things that I want to point out. Always on time. Teacher never late and you get full 2 hours of practicing. The teacher is nice but also strict, everything taught during the lessons is in accordance with the law and rules. Since I booked a lot of lessons he took me to other course like mountain road and highway 17 to Santa Cruz which really help a lot in improving my confidence also my driving. I also took the DMV test with their car, and hit the curb during the practice before the test (which never happened on during my other lessons) he calmly explained my mistake and handle the situation so I can practice the mistake and get over my nervousness. I really want to recommend this driving school for a new drivers who are anxious and lack of confidence in driving.
