Mr Mohamad was literally never on time, the instructor was always a couple minutes late to the zoom meetings and late to in person drives. Horrible communication skills, I never got a response to my scheduling the written exam and had to reschedule and specifically tell them to respond to confirm and then they were late to that by an hour, I had to reach out multiple times to get any response on my behind the wheel test after giving them 3 weeks of availability and despite being told they would reach out to me. The instructor was also chewing gum on every drive and not giving instructions until I'd almost miss it. Also misgendered and deadnamed me on multiple occasions. Ms Rachel however was very kind and professional and actually asked what name I prefer and used it, she only did my drive test but it was the only time I wasn't stressed out during the course while behind the wheel. They do not give refunds which makes sense considering I would have asked for one after the second lesson. Also when I went to get my license a month after the road test the DMV did not have my information and I had to call the school and as for them to actually do it. Overall not a great experience and would not recommend to anyone.

Had a terrific experience with the driving instructors and the administrators. Racheal was a delight to work with. I was super nervous on my first drive, but gradually she helped me build my confidence. I was able to pass my drivers test on the first try. All the praises to THIS driving school and their great staff. Thanks Racheal!

I would completely recommend Horizon Drivers Ed to anyone who is looking to learn how to drive. They are small business in a shared office space. I had Rachel as my instructor the whole time. She was patient, even tempered, understanding, and fun. I liked how she would give me tips on what to look for when parking and merging into other lanes. Anytime there was a sticky situation she would calming assist or take over. I would recommend booking an hour lesson right before your driving test if you go through the third party tester. It really helped to have that lesson and be able to driving around Clackamas. I wasn’t as nervous when it came to the test because of that.

We picked Horizon Driving School by random and glad we did. My instructor was Rachael and she was terrific!! She's very patient and is committed to teaching you how to drive safely. She's totally set on seeing you have a pleasant experience and not only learn to drive good but learn all the rules of the road. If you're on the fence about Horizon and have concerns, don't worry. They'll see to it that you have a very pleasant experience. They work around your schedule. When you book, try your hardest to get Rachael, you'll never regret it!!

I had a great experience with 1st Learn To Drive! I started with almost no prior experience and poor self-confidence. My instructor, Scott, excellently explained the theory and was calm and understanding during all the drives I had with him. I passed my test after 3 2-hour lessons with Scott that occurred within 1.5 months. Lessons are 100% worth it! I've certainly became a more confident driver and am not anxious anymore about driving. I highly recommend Scott and 1st Learn To Drive!💓

Scott is a wonderful instructor. I had been procrastinating getting my license for the longest time due to having a lot of anxiety about driving. He instantly put me at ease and was very thorough and helpful. I never felt unsafe when driving with him, and I passed my test after 3 lessons!

My family and I all can agree that I am a much safer driver thanks to this class. My class instructor, Steve, and driving instructor, Randy, we’re extremely helpful and kind throughout the whole process. I’ve learned many necessary skills and things I wouldn’t have known without this course. Everyone in this company are extremely helpful and truly want the best for you, their main priority is your safety and that translates through clearly. I’ve enjoyed this course and the help everyone has provided!

VINCE!!! We truly got our moneys worth with this one. Every drive day I’d be jumping up and down, ready to learn how to drive with Vince in the passenger seat. Please give him a papaya once your course is over, he loves those. I knew I would never crash with him as my instructor.

This was a very good class and Steve really went the extra mile (no pun intended) to make this class fun and teach us every little detail. In the car he talked the whole time which was super helpful because he told us what to do and put good habits like checking intersections and rear zones. Now every time I see an inter section I think “intersection, and back to your target.” All in all a very good experience and worth every penny. I am now a better and safer driver because of this class. Thank you Steve :)

This place is TREMENDOUS. All my kids got their Driver's Education at Hinojosa Driving School and all 3 of them turned out to be safe and confident drivers. The staff is friendly and caring. They will guide you every step of the way. Don't make the mistake of skipping a formal complete Driver's Education for your loved ones...its the best investment you will ever make.

Highly recommend!! I got my license in 10 mins, In and out!! Amazing instructor.

He claimed that he is with Texas pro driving school and in doing so he takes students away from a superior driving school. His students who are driving in the community drive at a very slow speed for a long time as if the instructor doesn't care that his students are impeding traffic at a dangerously. When he drives around the area he cuts people off and cuts in and out of traffic to get where he goes traveling a dangerously rate. He also leaves students wherever they are at the end of their 2 hour driving time.

I took the Car Control Course as an employee of the City of Portland. I highly recommend this course for a company to put employees through this training for driving company vehicles and also the parent who wants their newly driving teen to get more experience with driving. Not only does the course provide you with skills to handle skids and slides, it is also a good experience to learn about looking and planning ahead, which is also just good to re-learn as an experienced driver. Plus, the course was really fun!

Fair price for a great education. a small amount of classroom time to understand the principles, but then a lot of time behind the wheel gaining experience!

1st class outfit. I spent a day lapping their cars at PIR. Very knowledgeable staff that is also super friendly. I’m looking forward to going back, and would recommend it to anyone looking to get some seat time in a race car.

We took the icy conditions driving class (Car Control Course), and it was superb. The instructors were very good in all aspects if the class, from the classroom instructions to the in-vehicle application. Strongly recommend for everyone!

Going into my 4-week lesson plan, I did not think that I would pass my drive test and get my license within a calendar month. Scott helped me make that possible. Scott is super chill, funny, and personable, but at the same time and most importantly he keeps it real with you. I went from starting the process of putting the nerves behind me and ripping off the band aid of pursuing my license to feeling cool, calm, and collected on the day of my drive test. Can’t thank Scott enough. He is the man!

Jeremy was my instructor for this course. He is a good teacher, and while he is strict, he is strict for a good reason. Ive found that what he taught me sticks, and while the instructor Magic was the one to pass me on my final drive, I could recommend Jeremy enough. 9/10 teacher

I started out feeling really nervous about driving, but learning with Scott completely changed that. From the very first lesson, he created a calm and supportive environment that helped ease my anxiety. What stood out most was how clearly he explained different driving scenarios and talked through the right thing to do in each situation. That guidance helped me understand the "why" behind the rules and built up my confidence on the road. Thanks to Scott’s patience, clear instructions, and encouragement, I actually began to enjoy driving—something I never thought would happen! I’ve come a long way since my first lesson, and I truly credit Scott for that. If you're looking for an instructor who’s knowledgeable, reassuring, and genuinely invested in your progress, I can’t recommend him enough.

I had a nice drive with Jeremy. He wasn't pushy with any criticisms, which were all constructive and not angry. He was patient and chill and I had fun conversing with him. I'd give him 4.8 stars out of 5. He introduced a great new strategy about seeing the shoes of pedestrians and how to see a curb by looking at an angle from the steering wheel, but I didn't quite fully understand the angle part, so that would have been nice for him to explain it perfectly clear for me.

As someone who spent the first 22 years of their life in school getting various degrees, and also been a teaching assistant in grad school, I recognize great pedagogy when I see it. And Scott absolutely has it. I had six 2-hr lessons with him over the last two weeks, and passed my behind the wheels test this morning. The notes Scott provided on the first day had concisely worded facts about driving in Oregon, how to execute turns, merges etc., and also on how to sign up for testing appointments. These notes were really useful, and reviewing them before my lessons and the test definitely helped me remember details I would’ve otherwise forgotten. During the lessons Scott was basically the dad figure who ought to have taught me how to drive when I was 16. He was calm, patient, and very cognizant of my strong and weak points while driving. He basically had a lesson plan going all throughout my classes with him, so I was able to review my misses and mistakes from each class, and never made them again in subsequent lessons. 1st Learn To Drive is incredibly lucky to have Scott as an instructor with them, as is anyone like me who has had the chance to learn under him. He has my absolute and unequivocal recommendation to anyone wanting to not only learn how to drive, but also learn how to pass the test.

Terrible experience with Jen, the owner. Awful communication, lack of flexibility and inconsiderate of others times. Was unwilling to work with our schedule after she overlooked that my son needed to reschedule a final behind the wheel to complete the course. Offered limited times, one being Halloween night at 6pm and the other 3 more weeks out. I would not recommend her and I and filing a complaint with the ODOT due to her lack of professionalism, refusal to provide a grading rubric and negative experience. Yes, my son passed the course, but she made it very difficult.

I found Jen to be extremely unprofessional and concerned with numbers rather than quality. She withheld my sons certificate for 3 weeks after him passing the class. She said was incapable of completing the certificates the week of passing, because she scheduled a vacation. She made him feel extremely uncomfortable during the drives. She is clearly incapable of handling as many students as she had during this session to which she admitted to via email. Don’t waste your money with this school. It’s not worth the hassle and time or wait

I cannot recommend this driving school & specifically Elliott enough! I am in my 30s and have had horrible driving anxiety since i was a teenager so learning how to drive was very touch and go. Signing up for driving lessons was the best decision I’ve made, i feel so much more confident driving, really understand the dimensions of the car and even got my license! Something i really didn’t think I’d ever actually do. 10/10 across the board and having the lessons start and end at my house made it so easy for someone without a car!

ZERO STARS DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY!! I had a horrible experience with Jen L, at Westside driving school. She was very unprofessional and unfriendly like. Driving teachers should be respectful and patient right?? Wrong, not here! When I had my lesson with Jen she treated me like a child. Every five seconds she would take the steering wheel abruptly, not telling me what she was doing. Having bad attitude towards me due to my mistakes I made. SHE literally called my driving sloppy when I was trying to LEARN! She knew I didn’t have lots of experience but she continued using rude words towards my driving skills. The whole lesson was a disaster and the outcome was very discouraging and a waste of time. I didn’t learn anything from her. She rushed though the whole lesson, not having time for me to fix my mistakes or redo them. Very disappointed in this company. Jen has no fit as a driving teacher. I highly recommend using another driving school. Don’t waste any more of your time!.
