Amazing Experience at A Plus Driving Academy! From getting my permit all the way to earning my driver’s license, A Plus Driving Academy made the entire process smooth and supportive. The staff was always helpful, and I especially appreciated the option to request a specific instructor this made a huge difference for me as someone who deals with anxiety. A special shoutout to Mrs. Johnson, who was incredibly kind and patient. She even gave me time to calm down after an anxiety episode before my test, which I’ll never forget. The instructors are definitely strict, but in a way that pushes you to be responsible and prepared not just for the test, but for real-life driving. I highly recommend A Plus Driving Academy to anyone, especially if you’re looking for a team that genuinely cares about your success.
I payed $260 for the online driving course. I passed the permit test they provided with the money i played with and I had a 97 score, and I never received my permit certification. I called the place, and they were not accommodating at all. I wasted time and money.
Both of my teens attended A+ Driving Academy and we have been so happy with their services! They are clear with their expectations, are so patient with teenagers and gave ours a great education in driving! I enjoyed working with them and appreciate their level of respectful conduct. I highly recommend!
I had a great experience with the Zoom classes for my permit, and Mrs. Washington was very helpful and professional throughout. However, my experience drastically changed once I began in-person driving lessons with Mrs. Erica Johnson. From the very first day, Mrs. Johnson was extremely rude and sarcastic. Her behavior was so unprofessional that it caused me to have an anxiety attack during our initial session. For example, when another driver made a mistake in front of us, she reached over the steering wheel and yelled “idiot,” which was especially inappropriate considering one of the first topics we covered in class was avoiding road rage.On July 19, 2023, while I was practicing parallel parking, she slapped my hand because I did the steps out of order. This was not only unprofessional but also completely unacceptable. Although I passed the road test with her, the way she discussed my mistakes afterward was filled with sarcasm and lacked any constructive feedback. It has now been two years since I received my license, and I do not recommend taking lessons or the driving test with Mrs. Erica Johnson—especially for students who may be anxious or nervous behind the wheel.
The instructors were really nice and professional the lessons really had helped me out really well.But during my 2nd attempt road test the examiner was really rude and unprofessional , when it was time to take the road test she invited my parent/guardian into the vehicle with us during the test without even asking me for permission as a 21 year old women ,which made me very uncomfortable especially when I’m testing because it’s a form of distraction for me .Then before we had finished parallel parking she had told me “ You must’ve don’t want your license today , you’re about to hit the cone”. I found that really disrespectful and unprofessional .she didn’t have to say that.Everything how she acted that day was totally unacceptable.

I had searched the Internet for many days looking for a school to get my class a license and most of them were way out of my price range. And one day I found Reyna CDL. Their price was amazingly affordable. I signed up and realized very quickly that I made the correct choice. Miss Bea and Anita’s in the office were so nice very helpful answered all my questions and we’re very good at keeping me on schedule and let me know when my classes were and even setting up my test. My instructor JB was awesome. Very patient. Very knowledgeable showed me some tricks on how to remember things for my pre-trip test I had amazing help from JB on the skills test. Because of them I passed on the first try I’m very happy with their service and if you need a class a or a class B this is the school you need to go to thank you again JB.
Excellent overall experience. Mrs. Bea and Anita were easy to work with, explained everything clearly and worked with my oilfield work schedule. My instructor JB was awesome, he knows the truck and how it handles inside and out along with making the driving maneuvers very easy to understand and achieve with a little practice. The truck was a 6 speed and if you’ve driven a manual car/truck you could handle it just fine. As someone who couldn’t take off work to get my cdl this was a great option and significantly cheaper than going to one of those big trucking schools. Would definitely recommend.
If you want to pursue a CDL I highly recommend REYNAS ! Ms.Bea and Ms.Anita are a big help in the process, from helping you with full understanding to working with your scheduling. My instructor Alex made everything as easy as he could for me from maneuvering lessons, to truck and part inspections he made it comfortably awesome for me. In the beginning of the process I had no faith and hope being new to this course but after while it all comes to you. Reyna’s is definitely a 10/10 and worth the money !

While there was some confusion with the driving school due to their sudden price and policy changes midway through my classes, my instructor, Richard, was amazing. As an adult student, it was hard to carry on with lessons due to both my fear and work schedule. Richard was more than accommodating and was very dedicated to his work. I felt safe and at ease with him. He was very encouraging during the entire time and adjusted how he teaches his lessons based on my learning style. He was very specific with his feedbacks that helped me improve and I am implementing his methods now as a new driver. When I failed my test the first time, he went out of his way afterwards to make sure I don’t panic. He assured me that I have what it takes to pass and I just have to be a little more calm for the next exam. I definitely recommend Richard as an instructor if possible.
I took the teen driving course, and it was great! They start out with about 4 weeks of book work, Monday through Thursday. The PowerPoints and lecture are a bit boring, but they're also very informative. I felt like we'd been adequately prepared for the written exam. It was somewhat difficult to find an open appointment that fit my schedule; however, I think that was more of a circumstantial issue. The online scheduling portal has a pretty intuitive layout, so it was easy to actually schedule the appointments. I mainly drove with Richard Castillo, and he was AMAZING. He's incredibly supportive, patient, and kind. At the beginning of the driving portion, I was having anxiety about actually being behind the wheel, but he was a great teacher. He's definitely one of my favorites. All in all, Ayala is worth the money. They're also able to administer road tests to customers, so it saved me a lot of the wait at DPS.
I am so blessed and grateful that I have chosen Ayala!! I have done the 14 hour behind the wheel observation with Miguel, Richard, and Javier. They were determined to help me succeed and were very patient towards me. I am so glad they helped me to pass my license and I really recommend them!! 🥹🥹🥹
It was a blessing to be able to drive with Ayala Driving School, one key part of it being such an amazing experience was Richard Castillo. I drove with him 6 out of my 7 Lessons, and he really made each lesson truly valuable. With being patient and teaching in great detail, it made my driving experience a great time. Great school and great teachers super glad I ended up coming to this school. Mr. Stacy in the classroom is beyond a great techer. Gabriel and JP are very great with their teaching skills on the pad and both their patience levels are awesome. On the road with Geno and Carlton were great again these guys had the best understanding that we're just learning how to drive the rigs so they were really patient with us. I had a very good experience with this school. As an adult driver who just moved from London (we drive on the other side of the road there!), I had a few issues with staying in the right lane, but with great instruction and some practice, I passed the drivers test on the first try!!! I strongly recommend this school, the instructors are friendly, but the people at the school are very accomodating and approachable. I had to re-schedule my classes several times, but they were always happy to help.
This school is very conservative; I felt a little bit uncomfortable sometimes. There are pro life and blue lives matter posters in the office. I'm not sure if they're appropriate for a driving school. Besides that, Mr. Mascorro is an awesome instructor. He is a nice person who is willing to learn and work with students. I highly recommend him.

Just got my license. Patricia was a great teacher for the test review, gave a lot of tips and was very kind. Don taught me driving and it was a great experience. All in all a great school to learn to drive!
The clerk at the desk was very helpful and made sure I had everything I needed to complete my drivers exam. She personally gives reminders through texts the day before so you won’t forget your appointment. The whole experience was easy and quick. I’d personally recommend this drivers school over any other because of the helpfulness and customer service alone. 5 Stars!

Great reception and service from Adi and Jaden. Marc was my instructor and he was clear and informative. His instructions gave me no trouble and at the end he made sure to tell me exactly what I needed to work on and why.
Horrible experience. So awful that I pulled my daughter out and forfeited the $600 I paid for the course. The driver instructor claimed that my daughters permit was expired so they sent her home and charged us $80 for a no show appointment. I emailed them the permit to show that they made a mistake. They refused to acknowledge their mistake, they would not take off all the fees and accused my daughter of lying. The lady that handled this issue was more concerned with proving she was right then fixing the situation. Also, it is really hard to get driving time at this school. Often times are booked up for several weeks.
Miguel is a great driver! He helped me learn the way roads and how to overcome adversity.
The driver teachers are really nice and funny. In order to schedule you have to go to their website on every Thursday to see what spots are available and sign up quick because driving spots take up fast.
Both of my kids used Central Park Driving School for their driving lessons and road test. Each time, we had a great experience. Thank you, Central Park!

I'm really happy with my experience at first gear Driving School the owner is one of the instructors and a super cool guy.
DO NOT GO TO THIS DRIVING SCHOOL PROGRAM!! They are out for your money & are very rude with no communication skills whatsoever! They have poor customer service support from the front desk receptionist to the owner of this family owned business. The owner himself, when speaking to him over the phone, kept talking over me & putting words in my mouth on things I never even stated in our conversation. He would not listen to what I had to say & said I will not get a refund because of my derogatory remarks which I did not make. Again he did not listen to me, kept interrupting me, put words in my mouth I was basically very rude and disrespectful! My son attended classes here so my argument was since my son turned 18 while in the process of taking these courses, I was told by the Texas Department of Public Safety that my son did not need to take drivers Ed due to my son was 18. She explained that since my son is 18 & if he and I felt he can drive then all he needs to take is the adult course online. When he completes the 6 hr online test the he can print the certificate and take it to the DPS & take his driving test. As long as he passes then he can get his driver’s license at that time. If we choose to go the adult route then the drivers ED minor classes will not count. That’s when I asked the owner to call me & asked for a full refund but he declined my refund because my son had already taken some classes. My argument was if this had been told or explained to us then I would not have put my son in these classes. We wasted our time and money here & would not recommend anyone to come here unless u want to deal with rude, unprofessional, uncommunicative people who are out for your money!!

Horrible job with paperwork. They completely missed all my certificates and messed up all paperwork for DPS. They fully missed every piece of work for DPS. Never again.
Parents of current students unable to schedule drives please read this first. (google texas licensing board, click file a complaint, then enter the information and go from there. It is helpful to have a copy of your contract and times and days you have called and emailed the school for appointments) For parents considering this school: My daughter was never able to schedule drive time in their schedule2drive system. I had to check in frequently and they would never confirm how many actual driving slots they had open or when they would post the schedule. I was told "just keep logging in". That’s a deflection and apparently they tell everyone that. As a result of this back and forth I was only able to schedule 1 time driving in a year of her starting the process. That time did not even come from their system it came from me complaining to the office manager about my child never being able to drive. They get only one professional driving lesson per month even if you can get an appointment escalating the issue. That is not enough and you would just end up doing most of the work yourself if you could even get them an appointment. It’s my belief that they have way more children enrolled than they have the resources they to accommodate. I decided I had enough and transferred her permit to another driving school. I spent a bit over 400 to waste a year of time and listen to excuses and apologies from well meaning staff that is just following the instructions of a greedy and unethical owner. I never write bad reviews but I had to say something about this because every time I have gone to the office I have heard other parents complaining in person and over the phone so I know this is not a unique experience. Please don’t spend your money with this business. The pictures below were taken this past Saturday when I was there shortly after 9 AM and there was no staff there until almost 9:30. Clearly they can’t even stick to their own posted office hours, because if the did there wouldn’t be a reason for the sign.
If you scroll through the comments you'll notice that the comments coming from the students are all very positive and the ones from parents very negative. Do NOT give them your money. It's almost impossible to schedule driving lessons. You log in, but there are never any lessons available. They refuse to schedule out the whole 7 lessons ahead of time. You have to do one at a time and wait 30 days between lessons. They'll refuse to schedule a lesson through the phone unless you've signed into the scheduling site multiple times. I gave up and transferred them to Hendricks where they can get all their lessons scheduled out within a month.
My family loves Rhodes driving school. My older brother got his license there with no problems and my little brother will be going as well after me. They are so sweet and accommodating and the frond desk staff are so patient and helpful. 10/10 customer service. I was unable to finish my drives with them in the initial time because i had to leave for college but they still assisted me with picking up where I left off after I returned and they helped me schedule all my drives as soon as possible so I could get my license quickly. I'm so grateful for the kindness and patience of their staff while helping me through my issues. 10/10 would recommend.
My son took driving lessons and the road test through Rhodes on Ellison. We have nothing to complain about. No problems scheduling classes (I went in person to schedule them). The staff was courteous and my son liked taking lessons with Coach Marsh. Overall a very good experience.

Horrible HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!!! The lady cancels classes and doesnt give you a set schedule. When you call she says "Im busy"....ALL I NEED TO KNOW IS WHEN IS THE 2nd CLASS!!!!! I enrolled my son thinking this was a good learning school and something I wanted him to accomplish, the owners assistant (the old man) calls and states maybe your son should waite another year to mature more being he didn’t have his own notebook and journal . I stated that was my fault I left out of town and didn’t get back till today. And stated that’s pretty rude you stating that as a asst of a driving school and said I can pick up the 200$ I have for the class. I would not recommend this at all.
My son Raul I won't post last name only first so they know this is a valid review attended this school for driving. We didn't have no problems. My son learned a lot there in class. I know it was pricey and we had one hiccup I cant remember what it was.
Best place to learn to drive ! It was easy and they're very patient.
I like this driving school and I really need to thank this driving school for helping me get my license back on May 22nd I can't believe I passed my driving test and worst of all had to take it out in the rain I'm so happy that I passed my driving test and got my license thank you 55 driving school for giving me all the knowledge on driving

Overall the school and teachers are great. But don't waste your time calling because the "lady" at the front desk never answers the phone and has a horrible attitude. I have been trying to get a hold of someone for 4 days called about 20 times no luck. I work same hours they do so I rely on being able to speak to someone over the phone for information or to schedule appts. for my daughter.

I had such a great experience at Austin drivign school. The teachers like Mrs. Mendez were very nice and extremely helpfull, and the driving instructers like Mr. Reyna were very social and are very good at their job. I highly suggest Austin as a place to enroll.
Let me start by saying that I had been struggling to get my license for about two years for a number of reasons. The person I had been learning from previous to seeking a such driving school wasn't the best teacher.Once their car didn't pass inspection. We were late once. Tried to get a rental once but I couldn't drive it. My work got in the way once. It felt like the universe was against me. ((((*｡_｡)_ Anyway I decided to just find a driving school to rent a vehicle from. I called around and it seemed like no one was in that business. I was hopeless until someone suggested Austin Driving School. ( ﾟ∀(・－・) I called them up and they gave me a quote. They gave me a day to think about it. I really appreciated that. I called back the next day, paid over the phone, and discussed the details of my road test appointment. The day of the test the instructor arrived exactly when they said they would. We had a 45 minute lesson. They took me almost the exact route I went during the test. They went over all the key maneuvers including parallel parking, which is something that I've never done successfully before. They encouraged me a lot. ( ^ -)人(^_^ ) The whole time they were very patient with me and attentive. The whole process was pretty much stress free. I do have one gripe. The phone number for that location in Google Maps goes to the main office in Austin rather than the office here. ｢(ﾟo ﾟ) So, in conclusion, it was well worth it. And, I am a very satisfied customer. Not only is it next to impossible to get them on the phone when we drove over there they were still closed to lunch almost and hour later than they said. And when we did get in the receptionist rolled her eyes and sighed at us.
We are very thankful with everyone at Austin Driving School Huebner Location. Mr Reyna, Samantha and all the instructors are great. They are very professional and courteous. I currently have my 2 daughters as students and we are extremely happy and satisfied with the results. They are really learning how to drive responsibly. If your kid does not pass the test at 1st or 2nd attempt, it's because the kid is not ready. They have the big responsibility of put knowledgeable and responsible people behind the wheels.

We have had a horrible experience with this school. I enrolled my son in this school, he had no driving experience and they took him out on frontage roads and busy streets his very first time and was in a car accident with his instructor. I never received a call from the school I wouldn't have know had my son not called me. It's been over two months they have yet to contact me and I have been calling leaving messages and stopping by the office. They are always closed and They never return my calls. Scheduling his first drive took over a month for their to be available drive times. Do not enroll your kids here.
garbage service! first, they promise if you pay a 380 dollars you do the class, get a discount, and have pre scheduled lessons and a discount on your insurance. i haven't had a single prescheduled lesson at all. i have to schedule them all, and the crappy site you have to schedule them all on doesn't even work. so i went up there in person and the Manager (Really Rude lady) said i wasn't doing it right and don't exaggerate my story cause its not gonna help my case. I wasn't. every time i tried to call and address this issue with them they never pick up. their hours are hit and miss. i go up there sometimes and they're not even open when they're supposed to be. and its a very unprofessional environment. the only good thing about this place is when you can schedule a drive, the teacher there is really good at his job. other then that this place is not worth your time, find another school, and don't waste your money.
Lack of info unless you ask you do not get told anything. Suppose to have 1 hour of driving put in car with 2 other learners and we had to divide the 2 hours between us. Instructor took away all my confidence with his attitude. NO HELP AT ALL> very upset.
They never answer phone calls or show up to scheduled “paid” appointments. They did not bother to call or let us know updates . Total waist of my time and money ! I would go somewhere else !

I took a alcohol evaluation here .. filled it out and he made me change some of my answers he said it look to perfect .. I dont even drink alcohol and have to take classes for it now stay far away as you can from this place
Very informative straight to the point gives you a break during class time and also gives you lunch break informes you on what steps you need to make after the course as well I highly recommend his ticket dismissal course

The driving instructor is so graceful and understanding, along with the guy that works in the front. They are considerate and will take care of you. The certificate is short and easy but you may need to consider these as they are very important to learn. They teach you the basics and even on the road. Recommend 100%

I took six lessons with Texas driving school then I took my driving test which I passed. I highly recommend working with Elsa she’s extremely professional and she’s great with nervous drivers.

Highly, highly recommend this school! Had to do a road test yesterday and the two ladies in the office made it so quick and painless. They were both so nice and made me feel very comfortable during the paperwork process and the test. Don’t waste time at the DMV. Just go to this location!
Horrible instructor. She literally talked the whole time, and wasn’t even letting me know where to turn and what to do. She then got upset, and said I wasn’t doing what I was suppose to do, and implied that I should automatically fail. This place is very unprofessional, and cost a lot of money. This place/instructor isn’t worth it. Save your money!

This is the best driving school. The others charge way too much. Compared to the others D and E Driving School is the cheapest one which in my mind is great when your on a budget. The instructor is friendly and will answer your questions. She will get you ready for the driving test. I definitely recommend D and E Driving School.
My daughter paid for her class and after she received her certificate for her permit the lady closed her school without contacting her students. My daughter was suppose to complete 32 more hours with her and driving time to get the certificate of completion but the lady took her money and bailed. Now she has a new location and still hasn’t contacted her student to finish the course.
This driving school is a waste of time its a joke , you get what you pay for prices are nice but the services is horrible, the lady that owns the place is very rude and unprofessional . They never return your calls , they never answer the phones and when its a complete mess very unorganized, I paid for my daughter to take the class back in November of 2019 and she still hasn't been able to do her driving hours still . dont use this driving school

Go take the sit in class. This online course is bogus. It is way to long and inconvenient. I will be sharing this info with my network. Texas requires the course to be 6hrs long. When you finish you will be well over 8 hrs. Waste of time and resources.
Shipping has been a disaster! It's been almost a month and half and I still have not received my certificate and the court is not going to grant me anymore time. Now I'm forced to pay for overnight shipping because of this places incompetence. Edit: They did call back and make it right and are going to defer the cost of the overnight shipping.
These people need TRAINING !! They are RUDE! Refuse to HELP! LAZY!!
