I’ve been with several driving instructors in the past and Lenji is by far the best instructor I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. He is patient, explains what to do multiple times until you get it and was always available when I needed a class. I had more confidence in driving after a week of learning with him than I did after months with another driving school. I would highly recommend taking his driving class if you want to pass the test and be a better driver. 5 stars!
Took my skill test at the center. Mr Hussein was the ideal examiner, calm and kind. Got the results immediately, and the license from the DoL within the hour. I would recommend this center to nervous drivers. The area has a few roundabouts and I enjoyed driving along those. Parallel parking, backing up along a curb, parking on an uphill and general driving awareness are all tested. If one has practiced for a few weeks the manouevers becomes habit and the examiner certainly puts you at ease. He is also available to answer queries by phone, and updated my results to the DoL immediately. Overall, a very smooth experience.
Booked a knowledge test online and paid $40 just for the instructor to not show up. No notice or anything, I had to reach him through his website and he told me to text the number with my name and he would refund me but the number doesn't work. Should have read reviews before i booked. Would appreciate if i got my refund.

First Safety Sunshine Driving School is great! New location if wanting to learn how to drive, take the written test or the driving test. I had the pleasure of taking my driving test here, and the owner was on time. Everything was filled out in an efficient amount of time and done thoroughly. I booked some lessons with Malaika because I didn’t feel confident enough driving on the freeway. I am an adult who has had their driver’s license for years and I booked about 4 or 5 lessons with her purely for freeway lessons. Malaika was so patient and helpful which was good for calming down my nerves. She was informative when I asked questions and really good at responding to messages in a timely manner. I feel so much better about driving on the freeway now, I’m so glad I did it! I totally recommend :)
The driving school classes are very well organized. Class sizes are small, allowing for more student engagement. Many driving schools conduct classes over Zoom, with large numbers of students. When Malaika was in the car driving with my son, he reported she was very consistent with providing feedback, and the feedback was very helpful. She was also very patient. My interactions with her at parent information night and also through texts (providing updates) were also great. She responded to texts very quickly. I would definitely recommend this driving school, located near the junction in West Seattle.
Malika is an awesome teacher! People have tried to teach me to drive before, but I was too nervous behind the wheel. After taking lessons with her I feel a lot more confident in my abilities. She is honest about your progress and will pace your lessons according to your ability to pick up driving. She also makes sure to reiterate important safety rules to you.
Our entire experience with Time to Drive was fantastic. The in person learning can’t be beat and set our teens up to actually learn the material. Malaika instilled confidence in them rather than fear. Multiple times while they were driving getting there hours, they would repeat back to me what they had learned in class and how to help navigate a situation that I knew from experience but couldn’t explain to them. She was also excellent with her communication, always responding quickly and clearly, answering my multiple questions and helping me navigate through the entire process. I highly recommend Time to Drive to anyone looking to learn or have teens that are learning to drive.
My son had an excellent learning experience at Time to Drive. Classes were small, and Malika was great at putting to ease his nerves when behind the wheel.

Amazing classes and test experience! I paid for a pre-test walkthrough as well and it was very informative and useful. Everyone who works there is very nice and even though the process is intimidating they did everything they could to make me feel comfortable and confident. I’m very happy with Roadsafe driving academy. I had zero driving experience. I enrolled to the adult super package which is a comprehensive package that addresses on all the driving aspects. My biggest fear was driving in the freeway. It came manageable after I had few drives in it. Downtown was another challenge but I overcame through consistent practice. One thing that I like about Roadsafe was very flexible schedule and knowledgeable instructors. I sincerely appreciate their efforts in training and helped me overcome my fear in driving especially in freeways. I would highly recommend.

To my surprise, Roadsafe is very affordable as I'm full time student, I have tried other driving schools before i came but they were extremely expensive. One thing I have had trouble with was parallel parking, these instructors have unique and easy way to teach you. I have master this technique (parallel parking) in my second week in practice driving. I would highly recommend to anyone interested in learning real driving experience.

Really great school! Mr. Law is a really a nice teacher!
Highly recommend. Jason is super knowledgeable and kind. I scheduled the road test with him and he explained the process to me patiently and answered all questions I had prior to the exam. He offered specific guidance and explanations on my score to help me improve. The price he charge is very reasonable too and I wouldn’t have gone anywhere for this.
I passed the driving skill test today here with their warm up service. Mr. LAW is so kind in the warm up session and he gives me a lot of tips like how to avoid losing points each step. Then during the exam，I wasn‘t nervous at all！Finally I Passed the exam. Thank you！
This was a Fun, interactive class. The teacher is very experienced and makes the learning environment no nonsense and simple. Highly reccommend!

Learning to drive with Nathan G. was a genuinely positive experience. Navigating the streets of West Seattle can be challenging, especially with my anxiety, but Nathan’s calm, patient, and supportive approach made all the difference. He struck a perfect balance—correcting my mistakes with firmness but never making me feel overwhelmed or discouraged. Nathan took the time to clearly explain each maneuver, emphasizing good technique and helping me refine my skills. His personable nature and occasional quips helped ease my nerves and made each lesson feel less intimidating. I always felt safe behind the wheel, and with his guidance, I gained the confidence to drive not only comfortably but also responsibly and with an awareness for the safety of others. Amazing experience. Had Marty as my instructor he was very calm and assisted in helping me with my drives, Even with my anxiety, and not much experience on the road. He assisted in to help me pass my drives while also staying calm if I made a mistake while driving. He helped correct my mistakes and taught lessons.
My instructor Clay is amazing! He's very understanding, accommodating, and loves to make jokes and share fun facts which keep me very interested in the classes. Only downside is that i'm not the biggest fan of online classes because it's hard for me to learn that way. But that's not the schools problem so anyways i love the class!!!

Defensive Driving was a dream to partner with! Teaching a teenage boy to drive can DRIVE a parent over the edge😬 However Defensive Driving did a solid job prepping their students online and on the road. Lincoln was our instructor for our 5 drives he was calm and direct with explaining any mistakes made by his students. Lincoln then would make them redo their errors but he encouraged and instilled confidence during those corrections. I would highly recommend Defensive Driving to families!

I highly recommend First Pass for drivers ed. The instructor is very nice and very helpful, he teaches drivers ed very well, he explains it in a way where you understand it quickly and easily. The other staffs are great as well. 10/10 for me.

“First off, the number listed on the website is incorrect. Our son took two written tests at this school. He failed both times by one point. The owner lost his test and eventually found it. When reviewing his wrong answers, he told our son that he shouldn’t look things up on line because the internet is fake. He then goes on to tell him publicly in front of all present that he failed because he didn’t read the book. I would not recommend this school or location for testing. “
First Pass Driving School is an excellent place to learn how to drive. The instructors, along with the receptionist, are very patient and understanding. All of the instructors are nice, friendly and easy to work with. One of the instructors, Known as "Moha", goes above and beyond to make sure that you, as a student, succeed. He is very honest and has excellent judgement. His instructions are very precise and down to the point. He is great. If you are planning to enroll here, I highly recommend that you do so immediately!!! This driving school is amazing. First Pass is the school for you. The course is excellent and the cars in use are great as well. First Pass= Success! I loved my experience there and others have loved their time there too.***When you go into the office, you immediately notice pictures and letters from previous students who loved their time at first pass driving school!

I really liked this driving school after my friend recommended it to me! It was quick and easy to get my license as young driver!! I especially love each instructor I had. They were all patient, observant, and kind, after each drive I had with the school I felt more confident about my driving skills!

I had great experience with them. I purchased the 8 - 90 minute lessons as an adult driver with them as someone who had some hands-on experience with driving yet with no personal car. I worked with Laura most classes and she is great instructor. She was easy-going, professional and friendly. She was very patient with me and addressed my mistakes to ensure I drove safely and confidently. It was definitely a challenge attending the classes as I worked full-time yet was worth the time :) Thank you for teaching me, now I feel better about driving in busy cities :D

I had Robbie for my drivers ed classes, some drives, and my state driving test. Robbie is an excellent coach who is very supportive and encouraging towards his students. Without Robbie, I would not have been as prepared as I was to pass my state exam.

As an anxious adult lesson taker, I decided to get back into the habit after avoiding driving for a decade and I couldn’t have had a calmer, more patient driving instructor than Robby. I had Robby for 3 out of 5 of my drives and then had him for my road test. Such a nice guy and made me feel relaxed on my test, couldn’t recommend him more.
I took classes with Robby, Jose and Ruth. The are all amazing in their own way, and I am very grateful to have had them as part of my jorney! I took my road test with Ruth and she created a super stress-free environment. I felt very comfortable during the test (at least as comfortable as I could be) and passed in my first try! I chose this location because of the reviews I saw for Jimmy Green, and after completing my testing with him I can completely understand why he is so highly rated! Jimmy is a wonderful examiner, his calm and positive demeanour puts you at ease in what could be a stressful situation. I would recommend everyone do their exam with him!

I booked the driving test along with a warm up and glad that I got Jimmy green as my instructor. Superb personality, had a great humor that instantly puts you at ease. Had really great conversations about so many things in that time window. He explained everything clearly about the point system and the skills he will judge us on. The route was not so crazy and traffic was slow. For people who think that U district is not a great area for this test- don’t be afraid and give it a try.
I had a good experience at the U District defensive driving school. My instructor Lukas was articulate and professional, and my one-hour driving lessons and the warm-up before the test were extremely effective and efficient. Lukas was always able to cover everything in the exam during the lessons, and gave a lot of real-time feedback as I was driving. Another thing I liked was that he was honest and transparent about my progress, and I did not feel the pressure to sign up for more classes when he thought I was ready. The classes were not cheap, but I think they are worth it.
Everything was fine and smooth. Jimmy, my instructor, was very helpful and patient. I recommend this school for taking your driver license test.

I got my driving lessons from Joshua Chan. He is a really patient teacher and made sure I learnt every little detail about driving properly. From an absolute beginner to a confident driver, Joshua has helped me come a long way. Would highly recommend him as an instructor if you want to learn how to drive. Great experience overall!

I never knew how to parallel park before, but after just one session with Nobel, I felt completely confident. Where do I start? The only Native English speaking instructor left a week in, the other instructors are doing their best at English, but it takes some getting used to. One of them, I couldn't understand at all. The lead instructor is doing the best he can with the tools he has. The company needs to invest in some Native English speaking instructors. Fix the trucks in your yard that are just Rotting away... Wow. Bring in some yard management for the dirt/dust control ... They took away the hand washing stations for the HoneyBuckets, so you can't wash after you bathroom.... They advertised 4 students per Instructor, it was 5-6 students per... Oh and I had to Wait 3 weeks for a Spot to open In the Yard training, after the week of computer work...They definitely could have given me the "Pre-Trip paper" to study while I was waiting those 3 weeks. I completed but this was a Horrible experience. Oh and the Pre-Trip Instruction, is Self Taught.... Goodluck
At first, I completely doubted myself and my skills. I didn’t think I would be able to learn SO MUCH in just 3 weeks. I was WRONG. Niko, Andrey, and Ahmed should definitely get awards or something for the way they instruct! They each have their own ways of teaching and they all work! The class portion before you obtain your permit is easy to follow, and they make sure you know what you need to know during the class in the form of quizzes and follow alongs. The teacher answers all questions you might have, and explains everything in an easy to understand manner. The class takes place on a zoom meeting inside the office, or if able, can be done from home. The 160 training yard offers what you need in the form of trucks, and space. The instructors answer all your questions, and are very patient. Through the hours of your class, you're given time to learn the components of the vehicle, reverse straight and to the side, and go on a drive on the nearby roads and highway.

It was not easy to find free places in the summer, but I was lucky and I got to a driving school. I had no driving experience in the US, only in my own country, so I tried my hand to get a driver's license. Considering that my level of English is not high, but instructor was ready to communicate with an interpreter 😀 But we did without him, because clear instructions were provided, comments were made immediately on the spot. I felt comfortable and today I already have my ID and a little more confident.

I’m so glad I found IDA Driving School. From the first lesson, my instructors, Joyce and Ian, were the best I could have wished for. Not only they are knowledgeable and experienced, but also patient and genuinely care about your success and safety. I started off anxious and nervous, but thanks to their lessons, I now feel confident and capable on the road. They go the extra mile to make sure you really understand what you’re doing. If you’re a nervous beginner like myself, I highly recommend this school. You learn a lot, and the people here are kind and encouraging!

IDA driving school is strongly recommended. Its location on Westlake Avenue N in Seattle provides an easy transportation for the downtown regions. I enjoyed watching the lake view and the marine activities whenever I was visiting. In addition to teen drivers and new drivers driving sessions, anyone who hope to be familiarized with Seattle/state of Washington's traffic and road conditions can experience the learning in high qualities too. Defensive driving is irrevocably required when driving in Washington and IDA is the best school for it.

It’s not a terrible class. But their system is extremely flawed. This class costs over 600 dollars. And if you miss one day you have to come in another time and partake in a make up class. However these make up classes are not beneficial and they are terrible. I had to do a make up class, and the set up they had for me was an iPod Touch with a two hour video on it. I just sat in the back of the class for two hours watching a video, while a class was going on. So I could barely hear the video, the facts in the video were outdated and the set up was impossible to deal with. If you plan on taking this course then I highly recommend you do not miss any of your classes. For over 600 dollars I really expected a better learning experience.
This place is closed and there no driving schools or anything this building and they move somewhere else and really disappointed about the service and no idea why still they cannot update their website
As an adult who had very little driving experience and a lot of anxiety Swerve had my back from the get go. From Matt at the front desk cheering me on to my instructor. Phil was patient and supportive,. He had high expectations but always gave me the tools to meet them. I went here for both the knowledge and skills exam test. I highly recommend Isaiah for the skills exam as he is an excellent instructor. Best experience overall.
Rude front desk and examiner, I arrive 10 mins early for the driving test. Accidentally left my document at the car in the parking lot so I told them that I’ll be back really quick w my ID. The front desk lady yelled at me and the examiner spoke really fast with tiny volume. During the test, examiner speech was small and instruction was unclear and seems like they’re fed up w me. Really upset with the service provided.

The examiner here will cut your scores for any ridiculous reason that he can think of. Think twice before you want to take the driving test here
Don't waste your money it's a scam he never passes minority on the first try. The guy is super racist. he will fail you and give you a lower price so that you can come back. If you go over 20mph dui g the test he will yell at you and push the break.
